Fantasy Injury Update: AJ Dillon, Kenneth Walker III, and Antonio Gibson Impacting Week 12 Rankings

Games start early this week, so it is time to get your injury updates. What is the latest with AJ Dillon, Kenneth Walker III, and Antonio Gibson?

There are several RBs who are dealing with injuries heading into the holiday weekend, and fantasy football managers need the info so they can carefully plan their lineups. What are the injury updates on AJ Dillon, Kenneth Walker III, and Antonio Gibson?

    RB Injury Updates

AJ Dillon, RB, Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers RB room is currently a little beat up. Aaron Jones went down with a knee injury on Sunday and has been ruled out for the game this week, and backup RB Emanuel Wilson is dealing with a shoulder issue. This should open the door for Dillon to have a solid game, at least with usage, against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.

However, Dillon is currently dealing with a groin issue and has been listed as questionable for Week 12. Dillon practiced in a limited fashion this week, which makes fantasy managers hopeful about him being good to go this week. If he misses Week 12, the backfield will belong to newly signed James Robinson –who is on the practice squad — and backup RB Patrick Taylor Jr.

Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks RB room will be down a star this week in its divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. After going down with an oblique injury he sustained in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, Walker did not practice on Tuesday.

It was announced today that Walker is doubtful to play in the Thursday Thanksgiving game, which means that rookie Zach Charbonnet, DeeJay Dallas, and Kenny McIntosh — who just returned from injury — will have to shoulder the load in his absence.

It is a tough matchup for any RB against San Francisco, but Charbonnet can still be started based on volume alone and his propensity for pass-catching.

    Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders

Gibson, the RB40 on the season, missed Week 11 due to a toe injury. This was especially hard for fantasy managers to handle since in Week 9 he was the RB18 and in Week 10 he was the RB16; it was looking like Gibson was back on his way to being a weekly start.

However, Gibson was limited in the Washington Commanders’ Monday walkthrough and was a limited participant in the Tuesday and Wednesday practices. He was officially listed as questionable for the Thursday matchup against Dallas and could be a game-time decision.

If Gibson misses another week, Brian Robinson Jr. would be the RB1 for Washington against a stout Dallas defense. He capitalized on Gibson’s absence last week and finished as RB11.
