A.J. Brown’s $96 Million Contract, Salary, and Net Worth: How Much Money Is the Eagles WR Making?

A.J. Brown signed a lucrative extension with the Eagles last offseason. Let's examine his salary, contract, net worth, and career earnings.

A.J. Brown is a household name and one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL. Since joining the Philadelphia Eagles, Brown has continued to put up monster numbers and help the team contend. While Brown is clearly an elite receiver, is he paid like one? Let’s examine his salary, contract, and net worth.

    A.J. Brown’s Contract and Salary

After Brown’s trade to the Eagles in 2022, Philly signed him to a lucrative four-year, $100 million contract extension.

Brown’s deal included a $19.875 million signing bonus and guaranteed the WR $51 million at signing.

Brown signed another extension last offseason, this one for three years and worth up to $96 million, making him the NFL’s third-highest-paid receiver.

Brown is earning $32 million annually — the only wideouts making more are Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb ($34 million) and Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson ($35 million).

When discussing his latest contract, Brown said: “It’s been a huge blessing… Just God having this favor on my life since I was little. It’s tough to understand at times… This is something that just kind of stumbled up on. But God gives us free will, and of course, I have been doing what I’m supposed to be doing, working hard.”

When asked whether he’s worth that much money, the Eagles star said: “I want to prove it. … We don’t play on paper. Nobody cares what’s in the bank account when you step between them lines.”

Brown’s Net Worth and Career Earnings

Brown’s net worth is estimated to be $12 million.

Throughout the course of his professional career, he has earned $61,857,060 from his NFL contracts alone.

While his NFL contracts have been his primary source of income, Brown has also secured several endorsement deals that contribute to his overall wealth.

The Mississippi native has partnered with major brands such as Nike, Subway, and Old Spice, adding to his earnings.

Nike signed Brown to an endorsement deal during his rookie year. He has also appeared in digital commercials and promotional content for Old Spice.

The winner of this game will play the winner of the other NFC Divisional round game between the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders. Whichever team holds the better regular season record will play host to the Conference Championship.

The Eagles started September off with some hiccups, going into their week 5 bye with a 2-2 record. However, they reeled off a 10-game winning streak on the other end, securing the NFC East division title with weeks to spare.

Since 2000, the average Super Bowl participant allowed a first down on 37.4% of third downs and a touchdown on 52.3% of red-zone trips during the regular season. The Eagles and Lions are the only two remaining NFC teams meeting both these benchmarks.

Philadelphia’s defense has been a consistent strength this season, with an average Defense+ grade of 79.9. The Eagles are an undefeated 14-0 when their Defense+ grade reaches 75 or higher, including an 81.8 mark in last week’s win over the Packers.

The Eagles’ running game has also taken a significant leap forward this year, led by Saquon Barkley. Philadelphia’s running backs are averaging 17.5% more yards per carry after first contact, compared to last season.

The Rams have played four games against playoff teams since their Week 6 bye — they’ve scored an average of 30.3 points in those games.

But on the darker side, the Rams had a -1.12 average point differential during the regular season. In the 21st century, the 2011 Giants are the only team to advance to championship weekend after posting a negative point differential during the regular season.

However, a close game won’t scare the Rams. They had 15 games this season decided by 10 or fewer points, the most in the league. This holds the same for the Eagles, who hold a 7-1 record in clutch games in 2024.

Based on 10,000 simulations run by the PFN Playoff Predictor, the Eagles have a 63.2% win probability heading into the game.
