Adoree’ Jackson remains one of the more experienced and versatile options still out there in the NFL free agent market.
Jackson, who’s known in the league for his cover abilities and early-career returner skill set, will be seeking his third team since his breakout 2017 campaign. But which places represent the best landing spots for him?

The next team that lures in Jackson will get a defender who has 376 total tackles, four interceptions but 56 pass breakups. He’s additionally averaged 22.3 yards per kick return and 8.4 yards off punts, though he has only had three return attempts since 2019. Time to see which places could use him as a cornerback and potential special teams option.
Las Vegas Raiders
While the Raiders hosted Tre’Davious White on a Tuesday visit according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, there’s yet to be any conversation about signing a new deal.
Head coach Antonio Pierce is awfully familiar with Jackson. After all, Jackson starred in Pierce’s home region of L.A. at Junípo Serra High School in Gardena, Calif. Pierce already lured another L.A. regional standout in Jack Jones to man one CB spot. But adding Jackson bolsters the experience needed for the Silver and Black’s cornerback room.
Los Angeles Rams
This would be perceived as a big homecoming of sorts for Jackson and the Rams.
Even after signing fan favorite Darious Williams, a member of the 2021 Super Bowl champs, L.A. is still in need of CB help including depth and height. The Rams also would have to like Jackson’s past specialist background. Lastly, the franchise has brought back local stars before — à la Troy Hill (Ventura, Calif.) and DeSean Jackson (Long Beach, Calif.).
Los Angeles Chargers
Perhaps the other L.A. representative could intervene and make a run at Jackson.
Outside of the immensely versatile and dynamic Derwin James, the rest of this secondary is shaky. Plus, CB Asante Samuel Jr. is entering a contract year. Even though the Chargers have salary cap restrictions still (currently over $38.7 million), Jackson wouldn’t be considered a bank-breaking addition and can come on a one-year deal.
Atlanta Falcons
Much like Samuel, the Falcons’ top CB option A.J. Terrell is entering a contract year, and his team could use some additional help with a new regime in place.

Atlanta could still turn to the 2024 NFL Draft to address corner. PFN’s Wednesday mock draft projects Terrion Arnold of Alabama heading to the Falcons at No. 8. Still, depth and more experience at this spot are still needed — especially for two guys with a strong area of expertise in defensive back play like head coach Raheem Morris and defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake.
Detroit Lions
Even after deciding to pivot back to Emmanuel Moseley in free agency, the Lions still need to address this position judging by the unit’s playoff performances.
Perhaps Jackson can take a liking to defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s coaching. After all, he’s a former CB himself who is lauded for his ability to motivate. Adding Jackson could also get Detroit and head coach Dan Campbell to avoid feeling pressured to draft a CB at No. 29 overall come April.
