Actor Upsets Swifties by Saying He’s ‘Hoping To See Taylor Swift Cry’ If Chiefs Lose the Super Bowl

Although both Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have a boatload of fans, not everyone is in that camp, including actor/comedian Michael Rapaport.

Rapaport had a message for all the Swifties out there who will be pulling for the Chiefs to win their third Super Bowl in a row.

Michael Rapaport Wants To See Taylor Swift Cry

Rapaport, who is a huge New York Giants fan, is breaking the fan code by pulling for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, and Rapaport gave his reasons as to why he is pulling for the Eagles: He wants to see Taylor Swift cry.

“I am hoping to see Taylor Swift cry,” Rapaport said on SportsRadio 94WIP. “I want to see if her mascara can hold up after a ginormous loss. And we know she loves her man when he’s winning, but will she still ride with him when he takes a ginormous loss.”

He continued to explain why, despite his hatred of the Eagles, he has a complicated history with the city of Philaphedia. “Excuse me; there’s boatloads, there’s years of decades and reason after reason why I cannot stand the Philadelphia Eagles,” he said. “… Historically I have a lot of problems with the Philadelphia Eagles.”

But he says he was a huge Philadelphia 76ers fan and his favorite NBA player was Julius Erving, which explains why he doesn’t totally hate Philly.

Rapaport Is Not Alone in His Opinion

A lot of fans of other teams are also siding with the Eagles for various reasons, most having to do with football, though a lot of people cite exhaustion from seeing Swift on their television screens during games.

Yet, despite his declaration, Eagles fans expressed their disinterest in Rapaport and wished the hosts never had him on their show.

“I hope [Jason Kelce] never does your s***ty show ever again. Truly a sociopathic way to talk about an innocent woman,” one user said on X (formerly known as Twitter), coming to Swift’s defense.

Others added that they did not understand why Swift is hated so much.

“Why is she hated? I don’t like her music but she should enjoy what SHE made.”

Still, there are other people who agree with the sentiment.

“I want Kelce to retire so Swift will be out of the NFL,” said one user.

“Rather not see her at all,” said another fan succinctly.
