Abdul Carter Expresses Excitement To Join the Philadelphia Eagles by Latest Social Media Activity

Rumors tied Penn State sensation Abdul Carter to teams like the Browns and the Titans, but a social media move shows where his heart lies.

The NFL Draft buzz continues to make noise, and Penn State Nittany Lions defensive end Abdul Carter is at the heart of the conversation. Currently ranked second in BetMGM’s odds to go No. 1 overall (+200), Carter’s playstyle and pass-rushing ability make him one of the most coveted prospects in this year’s draft.

While rumors have tied Carter to teams like the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans at the top of the draft, a recent social media move from Carter has fans speculating about a potential hometown reunion with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Abdul Carter Has Given His Heart to the Philadelphia Eagles

Carter’s Instagram activity caught the attention of fans when he liked a comment suggesting, “run a lil slow at the combine and you’ll be wit them boys in a few months” to ensure he ends up with the Eagles.

This playful hint has ignited speculation about Carter’s preferred landing spot.

Carter, a Pennsylvania native, would undoubtedly add firepower to the Eagles’ already stout defense, which ranked first in total defense and passing defense during the regular season.

Head coach Nick Sirianni runs a tenacious defensive ship, and adding Carter could be a match made in football heaven.

However, the Eagles currently lack a top draft pick to secure Carter without major moves. As for his prospects, NFL Draft expert Daniel Jeremiah has predicted Carter to go No. 1 overall to the Titans, calling him a “generational talent” and praising his elite burst and pass-rushing skills.

Carter’s 2023 campaign at Penn State showcased his Pro Bowl potential, with his combination of speed, power, and relentless intensity on full display.

“My ears perked up when Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker said the team wouldn’t pass on a generational talent with the first pick. To me, Carter is the best player in the draft, and he plays a premium position. I could see Tennessee looking to add competition for QB Will Levis in the free-agent market or later on in the draft,” Jeremiah said.

It’s no surprise that Carter is turning heads. Boasting 12 sacks, 43 solo tackles, and two forced fumbles during his 2024 season, Carter makes a compelling case for a top draft pick. If we add his ability to disrupt quarterbacks with explosive inside spin moves, it becomes clear why teams are lining up for his services.

Carter’s social media hint translating into an Eagles jersey is a long shot, but never say never. Philadelphia fans are already dreaming of the impact he could make on their defensive line.
