Aaron Rodgers Trolled by Former All-Pro Teammate for Making History Against Bills

    Published on

Aaron Rodgers' latest milestone came with some trolling from a former All-Pro teammate, as the New York Jets QB's struggles continued.

Aaron Rodgers making history? You’d think it’s all OMGs and confetti — except this time, it’s come with a side of trolling. The New York Jets QB grabbed headlines after his latest outing against the Buffalo Bills, but well, not exactly for reasons worth celebrating.

A former All-Pro teammate wasted no time turning Rodgers’ “milestone” into a cheeky punchline.

Aaron Rodgers Sets New Record for Sacks, Gets Trolled by David Bakhtiari

Rodgers just set a not-so-glamorous record: he’s now the most-sacked QB in NFL history. 566 times. And who better to throw some playful shade than his old Green Bay Packers buddy, David Bakhtiari?

NFL insider Rich Cimini dropped the news on X: “Aaron Rodgers is now the most-sacked QB in history — 566 sacks. #Jets.” Bakhtiari reshared the post, jumping in with, “Hell yeah! Congrats @AaronRodgers12 another one for the record books!!!!” Ouch.

But the sack wasn’t the only embarrassing moment Rodgers served up against the Bills. During a 40-14 drubbing, the QB threw a pick and decided to try and play hero by tackling Bills CB Christian Benfort — well after he’d stepped out of bounds.

Naturally, the late hit penalty handed Buffalo 15 free yards and a prime spot in Jets territory. Not exactly the kind of “impact play” you want from your franchise QB.

To make matters worse, Rodgers’ 2024 season has been one roller coaster of disappointment. With a 4-12 record, they’ve been eliminated from playoff contention. Plus, they’ve fired both HC Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas.

The Bills (13-3), though, are looking to secure that No. 2 seed behind the Kansas City Chiefs.

And, of course, fans were quick to react to this.

Jets Fans Fire Back: Trade Talks and Frustration With Rodgers

Rodgers’ rocky 2024 season with the Jets has sparked a firestorm of fan reactions, and the heat is intense.

One fan bluntly stated, “He needs to be sacked by the Jets if they want to start winning again” (a harsh yet common sentiment when a QB’s performance doesn’t match expectations).

Another took a sarcastic jab: “His best moment as a Jet is running out the flag on opening night last year 😂🤣😂.”

That’s a deep dig, implying Rodgers’ peak achievement was limited to a symbolic gesture.

Some fans, clearly frustrated, couldn’t hide their disdain: “Will he roll his eyes at himself. Can’t stand him.” This reveals genuine anger toward Rodgers’ attitude, maybe a sign of fans’ growing impatience with his performance and leadership.

Another fan hit the nail on the head, claiming, “If he doesn’t demand a trade after this he needs to retire then sign with another team because this is just a crap organization with crap coaching and crap all around.”

This one encapsulates the feeling of helplessness and disbelief at the Jets’ overall dysfunction.

And finally, the blunt critique: “He’s sooooo bad.” Straight to the point.

Fans are beyond disappointed, and many seem to have lost faith in their franchise QB.
