Aaron Rodgers Takes Surprising Shot at Travis Kelce – ‘Mr. Pfizer’

Aaron Rodgers was in the building on Sunday night, and while he was giving his analysis of the loss, he threw a stray at Travis Kelce while doing so.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has been in the news more than just about anybody in the world as of late. But this time, you can thank New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, not Taylor Swift, for once again putting him in the spotlight.

Rodgers was in the building at MetLife Stadium this past Sunday for the first time since tearing his Achilles just four plays into the season in Week 1 and was able to give his analysis of the Jets’ loss on his weekly spot on The Pat McAfee Show.

While doing so, he lobbed a little bit of ribbing at Kelce and his most recent endorsement of choice.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

Aaron Rodgers Calls Travis Kelce ‘Mr. Pfizer’

Rodgers’ stance on vaccinations and modern medicine as a whole has been well-documented over the last few years. And with Kelce seemingly being a new spokesperson for Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company, Rodgers took the chance on national television to throw a stray Kelce’s way for doing so.

Rodgers made the comment in jest and with a bit of a smirk. Later, he alludes to the fact that he and Kelce have been friends for a long time, so the comment seems to be harmless in nature. However, knowing who Rodgers is and what he stands for, it’s a pretty on-brand comment from the superstar quarterback.

We can find solace in the fact that Kelce will utilize his platform on his and his brother Jason’s podcast “New Heights” to either acknowledge or dismiss the comment in his usual humorous fashion, regardless of the commenter’s intent.

    Rodgers’ Achilles Rehab Update

Rodgers didn’t only just talk about Kelce and his vaccination endorsement, he also gave an update when it came to his own medical situation and how his rehab is going so far.

“I’m well ahead of the normal protocols when it comes to rehab for this injury, and we’re always trying to speed up the timeline,” Rodgers stated.

“The Achilles just feels tight, but it’s not painful..a lot of rehab in my future, and I’m looking forward to accomplishing the next goal in a couple weeks,” he continued.

Rodgers has said from the beginning he has the ambition and hope to find a way to be able to come back this season, not just in 2024. While it has never been done before and would truly be a miraculous feat to achieve, Rodgers has all the internal motivation in the world he needs to prove the doubters wrong.
