Aaron Rodgers has been a staple of the NFL for the last 20 years, building a Hall of Fame career with the Green Bay Packers and now New York Jets.
However, as one of the most famous players in the NFL over that period, his private life has become more public than most.
With his life in public view, so are his relationships. In addition to Shailene Woodley, what does Rodgers’ dating history look like?
Jessica Szohr
Since being drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, the first of Rodgers’ official or speculated relationships was with actress Jessica Szohr, who he was briefly linked to in 2011.
After going their own separate ways, the two reportedly reunited in 2014, being spotted in multiple places. The two were also seen at an afterparty at a bowling alley.
Nothing was ever made official, but Szohr did attend Rodgers’ birthday party in 2017, meaning things must have ended on good terms.
Olivia Munn
While Szohr was his first unofficial relationship in the NFL, Olivia Munn was his first official one.
The two began dating in 2014 after reportedly meeting at the ACM Awards, where they presented the award for Song of the Year together.
When they met, Munn said she didn’t know who Rodgers was and had initially assumed he was a college football player when he told her he was an athlete. She also shared that she “didn’t really care what he did” and thought he “was really attractive.”
Photos surfaced months later showing the two engaging in PDA on the set of her show, “The Newsroom,” and Rodgers confirmed their relationship shortly after.
In an interview with ESPN, he said that he was happy and didn’t mind the attention.
“The last couple years, I’ve learned a lot about perspective and what’s important … You cannot hide from the spotlight,” said Rodgers. “You have to learn to embrace it.”
The two made their first public appearance together in June of 2014 at a film screening. By the end of the year, things were serious.
“There’s a lot of traveling, a lot of driving, and then you’re just really happy with the decisions that you make. And for me, it comes at a time in my life when I end up having to say no to some work because I gotta be somewhere else,” said Munn to E! News.
Many know Rodgers’ situation with his family as an interesting one, as he’s estranged from them. He hadn’t spoken to them for months before he and Munn began dating. However, she persuaded him to call his parents, temporarily mending the relationship between them.
Years later, there were rumors of the two getting engaged in 2016. However, Munn shut them down. They did come back again a year later when Munn was spotted wearing a ruby on her left hand. Ultimately, though, the couple broke up just a few months later after three years.
According to Rodgers, their relationship was made difficult by it being so public.
“When you are living out a relationship in the public eye, it’s definitely … it’s difficult,” said Rodgers. “It has some extra constraints, because you have other opinions about your relationship, how it affects your work and, you know, just some inappropriate connections.”
Kelly Rohrbach
After Munn, a lot of rumors were spread that Rodgers could be in a relationship with Kelly Rohrbach. In 2017, Rodgers and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model were spotted together on a golf course.
However, those rumors were shut down as sources said they were just friends playing golf together.
Danica Patrick
Rodgers’ next major relationship came in 2018 with race car driver Danica Patrick.
While they were first linked in 2018, the two had known each other for years, initially meeting at the 2012 ESPYs, keeping in touch through email over the years.
It was Patrick who confirmed the two were dating in January 2018. She even shared that despite being a longtime Chicago Bears fan, she would still root for Rodgers and the Packers.
Rodgers spoke on his relationship later that year, sharing that, once again, he didn’t need to be quiet about it. Over a year later, around the end of 2019, the two purchased a home together in Malibu, Calif.
Ultimately, though, they broke off their relationship in July of 2020.
Shailene Woodley
Another one of Rpdgers’ most notable relationships came in early 2021 when rumors surfaced that he was dating actress Shailene Woodley.
There’s no specific timeframe for when the two started dating, but they were ultimately together by February of that year. In fact, Rodgers announced that the two were engaged while he was accepting the 2020 NFL MVP award.
Woodley then opened up about their relationship for the first time later that month.
“Yes, we are engaged. We are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news, you know,” she said. “So it’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it, and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while!'”
Just a month later, Rodgers even shared that he was excited to become a father.
The couple was then spotted on multiple occasions across the U.S. and even the world over the next few months.
However, breakup rumors began circulating due to political differences. Though they denied them for a while and were handling things the best they could, Rodgers and Woodley officially split in April of 2022.
Mallory Edens
Rodgers’ most recent relationship comes with Mallory Edens, who he began dating in January 2023.
A long-time friend of Rodgers, Edens is also a model and the daughter of one of the primary owners of the Milwaukee Bucks, Wes Edens.
“It’s more than friends, but it’s casual. Nothing serious at all,” said an insider, according to People.com. “He’s not looking to rush into anything. It’s low-key for now.”
