‘It Has To Absolutely Suck To Be a Jets Fan’ – NFL Fans Roast Aaron Rodgers for Having Better Odds To Be President Than Win a Super Bowl

In recent years, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been afraid to speak his mind when it comes to his political opinions. While this has made the four-time NFL MVP quite polarizing, it has also led some people to wonder if he has a future as a politician.

Aaron Rodgers Has Better Odds of Becoming President in 2028 Than Winning Super Bowl in 2024

This header isn’t a joke. Offshore books have already started to release odds for the 2028 Presidential race, and Rodgers was given 30-1 odds to become President.

Meanwhile, the Jets currently have 66-1 odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

That means some books believe Rodgers has a better shot at becoming the leader of the free world than hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in February.

The Jets are currently 3-6, with just a 37% chance of making the playoffs, according to PFN’s Playoff Predictor. Last week’s win over the Houston Texans certainly helped their postseason odds, but they still have a long way to go to punch their playoff ticket.

This Jets team entered the year with Super Bowl aspirations, so missing the playoffs would be a huge letdown.

This franchise has made aggressive moves such as acquiring Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Haason Reddick and firing head coach Robert Saleh after the team’s 2-3 start. They are better than their 3-6 record indicates, but it remains to be seen if they have dug themselves too deep a hole to escape from.

Will Rodgers Eventually Get Involved in Politics?

For now, Rodgers has mainly shared his political beliefs on various podcasts. However, over the offseason, he did have to make a big decision: continue his NFL career or serve as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s vice president on a third-party ticket.

Rodgers has confirmed that RFK Jr. offered him the VP position, and it’s something he seriously considered.

“There were really two options,” Rodgers explained during OTAs last offseason. “Retire and be his VP or keep playing. I wanted to keep playing.”

Rodgers and Kennedy had been friends for several years, even before the politician announced he would run for President in 2024.

Ultimately, Rodgers decided to focus on his NFL career and RFK Jr. selected attorney and entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his vice president pick.

While Rodgers chose football over politics this time around, it’s very possible that he looks to run for office when his playing days come to an end — hence the odds in the 2028 election. At that point, Rodgers would be nearly 45 years old and likely in the next chapter of his life.

It’s worth noting that during an interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this year, Rodgers confirmed that he would “love to be a part of bringing [America] back to what she used to be.”
