Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are officially parting ways — so where does the four-time MVP go next? That’s the million-dollar question, and his former teammates just dropped three teams that should make a move.
With Rodgers hitting the market, speculation is in overdrive. Let’s see if he chases another ring with a contender, reunites with familiar faces, or shocks everyone with an unexpected landing spot.

James Jones’ Top Picks, Three Teams That Should Chase Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers is officially on the market, and his former teammate James Jones knows exactly where he should land: with the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, or San Francisco 49ers.
On FS1’s “The Facility,” Jones stated that teams should be lining up for the four-time MVP. “Give me Aaron Rodgers over Sam Darnold right now,” Jones said, emphasizing that, even after an Achilles injury, he is still a top-tier QB.
He continued praising the 41-year-old, “Aaron had almost 4,000 yards passing and 28 touchdowns, and that’s coming off of an Achilles injury. I know that the wins and all that did not add up there at the Jets, but it wasn’t like Aaron Rodgers just stuck the plates up. Aaron Rodgers could still play football at a high level.”

Why these three teams, though?
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings just signed Darnold, but Jones isn’t convinced he’s the answer. He believes Rodgers, paired with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Kevin O’Connell’s offense, would make the team a serious contender. Rodgers has a history of tormenting the Vikings — imagine if he flipped the script and played for them?
“You get him out there with Justin Jefferson, Addison, O’Connell, I think the Vikings are much better with Aaron Rodgers than they are with Sam Darnold on the football field.I think he has some football left in him to play,” Jones quipped.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers made a splash by adding Russell Wilson, but is he really the long-term fix? Jones sees Rodgers as a major upgrade, a quarterbck who could thrive in Mike Tomlin’s system and instantly elevate the team’s offense.
San Francisco 49ers
The Niners are already a Super Bowl-caliber team, but what if they leveled up? Jones pointed out that Rodgers’ arm talent would be deadly in Kyle Shanahan’s scheme. With Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, Rodgers could turn the 49ers into an even bigger juggernaut.
Rodgers might not be in his prime, but as Jones put itm he’s still got gas in the tank. And for these three teams, picking up the phone should be a no-brainer.
As Jones put it, “If I’m the Vikings, the Niners, and the Steelers, I definitely pick up the phone and look into it for sure.”
