James Jones Sees No Issues With Aaron Rodgers in Hall of Fame

Jones and Rodgers played eight seasons together in Green Bay. The wide receiver also lifted the Lombardi Trophy with Rodgers in 2011.

During his appearance on FS1’s “The Facility,” Jones was asked whether Rodgers’ stint with the Jets would hurt his legacy, and the former WR didn’t mince his words.

“It doesn’t. Aaron Rodgers is walking into the Hall of Fame, first ballot,” said Jones candidly. “You’re talking about a Super Bowl champion, four-time MVP. His legacy is his legacy. This is not a good year, but his legacy is already set. He’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer.”

Jones further added that A-Rod is one of the greatest players in the game. This season, despite being a failure, will not affect his legacy years from now.

Rodgers Gives It Straight on Jets’ Playoff Failures

Rodgers was brought in ahead of last season to end the Jets’ 12-year playoff drought. However, since his arrival, that number has increased to 14.

Rodgers’ Achilles injury suffered in Week 1 of last season forced him to miss the 2023 season, but after losing to the Dolphins this past Sunday, the veteran QB spoke up.

“I’ve started for one year, so I’m a part of it for one year,” said Rodgers regarding the playoff misses of 14 years. The quarterback then said, “It’s disappointing.” He added that they weren’t even close to achieving their goals for the season.

The Jets’ playoff race might be over, but they still have four games to play. Their next matchup will also take place in Florida when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.
