Now that the fantasy football points scoring season has ended, dynasty managers get to turn their attention to next year. This is the time of year where you can start to look at your team and see what needs fixing. With that in mind, here are my dynasty WR trade targets for 2021.
Dynasty WR trade targets 2021 – Buy High
These two options on my dynasty WR trade targets for 2021 are players that might have a higher price tag, but I still feel like it’s worth paying up for them. Not every target needs to be someone you find on the scrap heap. These two are options that just had down seasons that I think will turn around next year.
Brandin Cooks
The first WR that comes to mind as someone to target in your leagues is Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks. He performed well this year and stayed relatively healthy in the process. He also plays on a team that has a young stud QB at the helm in Deshaun Watson.
Cooks is WR27 in PPR scoring for the year. He has 70 catches on 103 targets for 984 yards through 14 games. His four touchdowns are a little low and not necessarily something you can attribute to anything but luck. Odds are good that with a healthy Will Fuller returning that entire offense should be better.

Cooks is someone that some managers are fed up with, making his price somewhat deflated to those managers. To me, a prime candidate to target is a player with 100+ targets with fewer touchdowns than expected, so Cooks fits that bill perfectly. He’s a clear option for the first of my dynasty WR trade targets for 2021.
Jerry Jeudy
Only one receiver outside the top 30 so far this season in PPR scoring had over 100 targets, and that player is Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy. After entering the league with such high expectations, Jeudy has had a rough season.
Jeudy only caught 47 of his 106 targets for 716 yards and two touchdowns, which explains his WR54 ranking through Week 16. Jeudy managers likely spent a mid-to early-first round rookie pick on him and were not pleased with this output.
You can’t put a first-round rookie flop on a trade target list without mentioning the increased cost of a trade. Most savvy dynasty managers know that wide receivers can take more time to develop, but check your league to see what you can trade away to get Jeudy on your roster, just in case.
Dynasty WR trade targets 2021 – Buy Low
For my buy low dynasty WR trade targets for 2021, I selected one injured WR and another underperforming younger option. Depending on the current manager’s feelings about these two you may be able to get them for a steal.
Odell Beckham Jr.
I often try to target injured players closer to when their actual injury occurs, but that’s not always the best idea. Odell Beckham Jr. is one of those times where waiting may have helped. His value has theoretically gone down since his injury, still making him a valid trade target in dynasty.
For me, Beckham is a receiver nearing the end of his prime with lots of talent left. He’s also potentially looking for a new team and a new contract next season. If he stays with the Cleveland Browns, he should easily be the WR1 on the team. If he moves to a better option, his value could increase.
Adding players to your roster when their value dips is one of the best ways to help your team. It only works if that player goes up, of course, but depending on the price, Beckham could be a steal for next year. It’s at least worth a note to the team that currently rosters Beckham just to see what a trade would look like.
N’Keal Harry
I know a lot of people who are straight-up done with New England Patriots WR N’Keal Harry in dynasty. For me, Bill Belichick is the main reason that I’m not entirely out on Harry just yet. On top of that, the Patriots need a QB for 2021 and beyond because Cam Newton wasn’t the answer. This makes Harry a prime option as one of my buy low dynasty WR trade targets for the 2021 season.

Harry only saw 55 targets this season. He caught 31 of them for 292 yards and two touchdowns through 13 games. He just wasn’t used in the offense at all this year, but that could easily change if the offense changes.
In some leagues, the manager rostering Harry may be willing to trade him away for peanuts, such as a third-round rookie pick. I’d smash accept on that in a heartbeat. Harry is a talented young receiver on a great team and is worth trading for if you’re looking for upside.
