What do we have in store with this matchup?

    The Bills stampede ahead

The Buffalo Bills are one of the AFC’s elite teams, but the Miami Dolphins are right behind them. It could take just one bad game for them to go from a home playoff game to a road game. So, despite their 8-3 record, every game matters.

The Bills used to rely heavily on their elite defense. That hasn’t been the case this year. They sit 18th in the NFL in scoring defense, and as a result, they’ve been more reliant on their offense than they have been in years. Josh Allen has come through for the most part. He was phenomenal the first four weeks of the season but has since slowed down. Even after slowing down, the Bills’ offense has been strong. They haven’t been held to less than 24 points since Week 7. There’s no reason to believe that Week 13’s Monday Night Football matchup will be any different.

The 49ers limp towards the end of the season

On the other side of the ball, the 49ers are without most of their game-changing players due to injury. They’ve been hit hard all year. Still, Robert Saleh’s defense has managed to play above their talent level. They’re 11th in the league, allowing 23.1 points per game. Their offense hasn’t been able to weather the storm. Jimmy Garoppolo and his backups have struggled to get the offense rolling. They’re currently 20th in scoring offense, with 23.7 points per game.

The Bills are the clear favorites heading into this one. Still, the 49ers are a scrappy team with one of the most creative offensive minds in the NFL. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they made a game out of this one.
