Is there NFL Tuesday Night football tonight? Steelers vs Ravens postponed to Wednesday afternoon

Is there an NFL Tuesday Night Football game being played tonight, and if so, who are the two teams involved? The NFL postponed the Baltimore Ravens vs Pittsburgh Steelers Thanksgiving night game due to concerns and rescheduled for Tuesday night. Unfortunately, due to even more positive cases for both teams, the game has been postponed to Wednesday afternoon at 3:40 PM ET on NBC. In that game, the Steelers defeated the Ravens,19-14.

Due to NBC showcasing the 2020 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting Wednesday evening, the matchup has been moved to an afternoon start time. With the game played later in the week, there was hope that running backs Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins would be available. However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that neither will play, and Gus Edwards will now be the starter.

Now that we no longer have concerns that this game will be canceled or moved again, we broke down how the weather will impact the two teams and also looked at where and how you can watch the Wednesday afternoon football clash between the Steelers and Ravens.

Meanwhile, the Steelers sit second in the NFL, despite being the only undefeated team in the NFL, due to Ben Roethlisberger’s inconsistent play at times.

NFL Football game tonight | Steelers vs Ravens postponed again

The NFL initially postponed this game after an avalanche of cases. As the weekend continued, the positive results slowed, but there were still enough cases coming through for them to further postpone the game twice. The Ravens are now down seven starters, including Lamar Jackson. It’s hard to see how they could be competitive against an undefeated Steelers team as currently constructed. However, the postponements are not deemed to be due to the strength of competition the Ravens can put on the field. That is demonstrated by the NFL making the Broncos play a practice squad wide receiver at quarterback on Sunday. It’s important to note that the NFL did cancel the Ravens’ practice on Monday. However, ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley reported that the team did practice on Tuesday.

If the NFL football game planned for tonight goes ahead as planned Wednesday at 3:40 PM ET on NBC, the Ravens could be without Jackson, Mark Andrews, Patrick Ricard, Patrick Mekari, D.J. Fluker, and Willie Snead. Robert Griffin III is a capable backup quarterback, but it’s nearly impossible to see how he’s able to generate any offense against one of the best defenses in the NFL without many of his top weapons and down two offensive linemen.

The Steelers will also be without two key players. They’ll be without James Connor and Stephon Tuitt. The Steelers can survive without one starter on each end of the ball, though. The offense will move with Benny Snell at running back, and the defense won’t collapse without Tuitt.

If this game goes ahead as now scheduled on Wednesday afternoon, the Steelers hold a massive advantage. It’s near impossible to see how they drop this game when the Ravens are sending out an offense filled with backups. The Ravens will fall a full game back of a playoff spot with a loss, and they are also behind on tiebreakers to the two teams that currently hold the sixth and seventh seed. This game could just be the cherry on top of a disappointing Ravens’ season.

Final score prediction for the postponed NFL Tuesday Night Football game tonight: Steelers win 31-13
