With fantasy football season underway, Pro Football Network will have weekly Defense/Special Teams (D/ST) rankings for the 2020 season. We continue with our fantasy defense rankings in Week 10. While singular offensive players dominate fantasy football, the other side of the ball sees players work together as a unit. These rankings can be especially useful if you are streaming your defenses on a weekly basis. This week’s top-ranked Pittsburgh Steelers defense is likely rostered in your league, but below are more options for your needs in Week 10.
When ranking a fantasy defense and special teams, the general scoring includes points for fumbles, interceptions, sacks, safeties, and restricting offensive yards and points. Special teams scoring incorporates any kickoff or punt return touchdowns, blocked punts, and blocked field goal attempts.
For the defensive side, the most commonly used strategy by analysts is streaming defenses. This concept involves examining weekly matchups for weaker or outmatched offensive opponents and looking for defenses on your league’s waiver wire to maximize your production from this roster spot. If you’re taking that approach, these 2020 fantasy defenses and special teams rankings will be a place you visit often.

Philadelphia Eagles
With a week off to prepare for a turnover-prone New York Giants team, the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense gets a boost in the fantasy rankings as they come in as a top option to play for Week 10. Daniel Jones has a higher interception percentage than touchdown percentage. Add on a sack percentage of 8.4%, and you have all the makings of a good week.
The Giants offense is giving up the third-most points to opposing fantasy defenses. They have allowed multiple sacks in all but one game this year, and while the Giants didn’t lose possession on either one of them, Daniel Jones still had two fumbles last week. The Eagles are a plug and play team here.
Las Vegas Raiders
While we’re on the subject of good matchups, the Denver Broncos offense is serving up the second-most points to fantasy defenses facing them. They have held two teams without a sack this season (vs. Titans in Week 1 and at the Jets in Week 4), but a Broncos player has either thrown an interception or lost a fumble in every game played this season.
The Raiders find themselves as one of the more risky plays this week; they’re blitzing at the second-lowest rate in the league, have only five turnovers, and have only registered nine sacks on the season. They won’t feature prominently in Week 10 fantasy defense rankings, but those in deeper leagues scrambling for options should find the Raiders with optimism with this matchup for one week at least.
Washington Football Team
Fantasy D/ST rankings take a hit in Week 10 with the New York Jets on their bye. With them out and the easiest matchups listed above, an intriguing flier can be found on the road in Detroit this week. Washington has the defensive line to get to the QB, and so far has been good at making the pressure lead to mistakes with eight interceptions on the year, putting them at a tie for eighth in the league this season. They’re also ninth in the fewest percentage of offensive drives to end in a score and fourth in sacks, which bumps to third on a per-game scale.
Want a cherry on top? This unit absolutely knows how to destroy an offensive drive. They have the fifth-fewest plays run against them and are tied for fourth-fewest yards allowed per play.
Week 10: Defense/Special Teams Fantasy Rankings
If you need to search for specific teams for your fantasy defense rankings in Week 10, you can do so using our filters below. Don’t forget to reset them to clear your board and start from the beginning. A negative percentage of defensive DVOA indicates a unit that is performing well. On offense, a negative score indicates poor performance. As injuries and news come in, we will be updating our D/ST rankings to make sure you are covered and know which teams are our top streaming defenses of the week.
