Ex-Bloodline Member Demands Opportunity To Take On The Rock

Jey Uso has been thriving as a singles star since leaving The Bloodline. The winner of the 2025 Royal Rumble is set to face Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.

Fans are excited to see how his rivalry with The Ring General unfolds, but The Yeet Master has also expressed interest in a battle of words with his cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Jey Uso Wants To Face Off Against The Rock on the Mic

A leader of the Attitude Era, The Rock is known for his charisma and mic skills. He connects with the audience effortlessly and often roasts his opponents with humor.

The Final Boss seems unbeatable on the mic, but during a recent interview with Alex McCarthy of The Daily Mail, Uso said he’s interested in going head-to-head with his cousin in a war of words.

One-half of The Usos acknowledged The Rock’s talent but believes he brings a different kind of emotion with his words. Uso shared his desire to test himself in a promo battle against The Great One.

“I want to get in there,” Uso said when asked if he would like to go against The Rock on the mic. “I would like to go toe-to-toe in a promo with him. I know The Rock is good like that, but I feel like I’m new school with mine. I’m really in it. I’m really out there like that. Rock is very believable.

“He can be entertaining and all that, but I feel like I can bring some different kind of emotions from The Rock — family always hits different. I didn’t know I could do it with Roman [Reigns], with my brothers, so I would like to test those waters.”

Uso made headlines after winning this year’s Royal Rumble and earning a title shot at WrestleMania. Many fans and WWE stars, including John Cena — the man he eliminated last — congratulated him on his victory.

The interviewer asked if The Rock had reached out to congratulate him.

“He was busy too, but we always running. I got tired of hugging. I was blown up more hugging after than in the Rumble itself.”

Will Uso and The Rock Cross Paths on the Road to WrestleMania?

Last year, The Usos played a role in the Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes rivalry, where The Rock was in The Tribal Chief’s corner. This year, The Final Boss has returned with a new champion in his battle against Rhodes — Cena.

While The Rock will likely assist Cena in his chase to become a 17-time champion, Uso has to prepare for his showdown with Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The two are unlikely to cross paths or engage in a mic battle on the road to WrestleMania, but in WWE, anything is possible.
