Stephen Curry Injury Update: Exploring Warriors Star’s Status Before Nuggets Clash

The Golden State Warriors have won seven straight games. They are currently 14-1 in the Jimmy Butler era when he’s in the lineup. Momentum in sports is a real thing, and basketball might be the most prominent example of that.

Since Butler’s arrival, the Warriors have gained momentum, played better, and looked like a much more connected team. They’ve found a formula for continuing to win. Jonathan Kuminga’s recent return looks to be an exciting addition for the Warriors as they attempt to prepare for the postseason.

The Warriors have a big stretch of games coming up against the Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks on a back-to-back set. The Warriors need to continue piling up wins to avoid the play-in spots, and all of their players, including Stephen Curry, are healthy and ready to complete this objective.

Stephen Curry Listed As Questionable for Nuggets Game

With the Nuggets game approaching, the Warriors need all hands on deck. Currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors are 39-28 and continue to build towards potentially climbing to a higher seed.

The injury report for the Warriors vs. Nuggets game has significant concerns, though. Curry, who is dealing with some back issues, is listed as questionable.

Curry is averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on the season, but he has looked reinvigorated since Butler joined the team. Curry had an outstanding performance in the Warriors’ last game, as he finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a win over the New York Knicks.

If Curry has to sit out, the Warriors could turn to Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody, and Jonathan Kuminga for offensive help, but considering how important every game is to the Warriors, there has to be a chance that Curry will try to play.

Can the Warriors Climb In the West?

The Warriors have sat in the Western Conference’s sixth seed for a while now, but they are getting closer to reaching the fifth seed. The Warriors are only 2.5 games behind the Lakers for the fifth seed, and the Lakers will be without LeBron James for another week at least.

If the Warriors could continue their winning ways and potentially come away with victories against the Nuggets and Bucks, they would have a much better chance at claiming that fifth seed. Whether Curry plays against the Nuggets will significantly impact that.

If Curry plays, the Warriors will be close to full strength against a team they haven’t won a game against in a few years. The extra motivation for the team might be enough to help catapult them to victory.
