WATCH: LeBron James Keeps Cool as Kids Yell at Lakers Star in Viral Video While at Son Bryce’s Game With Family

LeBron James is no stranger to attention, but even he probably wasn’t expecting to be the main attraction at his son’s big game. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was courtside at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on March 14, watching Bryce James and Sierra Canyon Highschool compete in the CIF State Division I championship.

But while he was locked in on the action, some young fans had a different game plan—trying to get a reaction out of King James himself.

LeBron Brushes Off Courtside Distractions Like a Pro

A now-viral video shows LeBron sitting with his wife, Savannah, and daughter, Zhuri, intently focused on the game. Meanwhile, a group of kids nearby were doing their best to get his attention—calling out to him, trying to grab a moment with the NBA icon. The clip was shared by SM Highlights on X with the caption:

“LeBron James had kids chipping at him while he was watching Bryce James state championship game, they even be hating on LeBron when he’s watching his kids play basketball… wth 😂”

But if they were hoping for a reaction, they were out of luck. LeBron, in true veteran fashion, stayed cool and unbothered, keeping his focus on Bryce’s big night. However, LeBron’s presence at the game was impossible to miss. When he walked into the Sacramento Kings’ arena, the crowd erupted in cheers, acknowledging the basketball legend in their midst.

Bryce and Sierra Canyon Capture State Title as LeBron Cheers Courtside

While LeBron was keeping his cool, Sierra Canyon was turning up the heat. In a nail-biting finish, they pulled off a 58-53 win over Lincoln (Stockton) to secure their first state championship since 2019.

Bryce’s teammate Bryce Cofield hit a clutch shot to put them ahead in the final minute, and Maxi Adams sealed the deal with an and-1 play. While Bryce didn’t have a standout stat line—finishing with three points, five rebounds, and two assists, his presence helped Sierra Canyon to claim the title—while LeBron beamed with pride on the sidelines.

The NBA veteran, who has been battling a groin injury, didn’t let that stop him from celebrating like a proud dad. The moment the game was in the bag, he was up on his feet, pumping his fists, and cheering louder than anyone in the arena.

For a basketball powerhouse who’s won four NBA titles, you’d think he’d be used to championship celebrations by now. But as he watched his son lift the trophy, it was clear—this one hit differently.
