Drew McIntyre Poses for Photo With This FC Barcelona Young Phenom

Recently, WWE Friday Night SmackDown was held in Spain, where young Spanish footballer Lamine Yamal attended the event. Yamal took some time to meet and take pictures with WWE superstars, to which Drew McIntyre later shared a picture on X with an interesting caption.

    Lamine Yamal Attends SmackDown

Yamal plays for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. The talented young footballer recently attended WWE’s live event in Barcelona alongside his Barça teammates Alejandro Balde and Héctor Fort.

Yamal received a warm welcome from the WWE and was even gifted a personalized championship belt, which he was seen holding in the audience while watching the show. He posed with several WWE superstars, including McIntyre, WWE’s chief content officer Triple H, and the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

The 17-year-old footballer recently made headlines for his crucial performance for Barcelona against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. Now, he’s going viral again for attending the wrestling event and meeting some of the biggest stars in the industry.

Yamal seemed to enjoy the event. He shared a picture with Triple H and posted a video of Randy Orton delivering his iconic finishing move, the RKO, which he recorded himself.

Drew McIntyre Believes Lamine Yamal Is a ‘Chosen One’ Like Him

The Scottish wrestler was seen posing with Yamal and shared the picture on X with a caption referring to both of them as “the chosen one.”

“Chosen One 🤝 Chosen One,” McIntyre wrote on X.

Fans quickly caught the reference, linking it to McIntyre’s introduction to WWE in 2007, when then-CEO Vince McMahon introduced him as “The Chosen One.” At the time, he was considered the next big thing and was given multiple opportunities to prove himself.

Over the years, McIntyre has built a name for himself and is now one of the biggest stars on WWE’s current roster. He is currently feuding with Damian Priest, stemming from last year’s WrestleMania when Priest cashed in the Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship. It will be interesting to see how their rivalry unfolds on the road to WrestleMania 41.

Meanwhile, Yamal is preparing for Barcelona’s crucial match against Atlético Madrid on Sunday, March 16. This game is a significant one in the La Liga title race.

WWE will continue hosting events across Europe, and we are likely to see more celebrity guests like Yamal attending shows and posing with wrestling superstars.
