Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho has weighed in on the recent spat between DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons, and he didn’t hold back.
After Lawrence claimed that his reason for leaving the Dallas Cowboys was that he knew the team wasn’t going to win a Super Bowl, Parsons fired back at his former teammate. Acho addressed the beef on “The Facility,” claiming that both players were wrong.

After Lawrence agreed to a three-year, $42 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks, he took a shot at his former team. Speaking to Seahawks writer Brian Nemhauser, Lawrence expressed his love for Dallas, calling it home, before saying he knew he wouldn’t win a Super Bowl there.
“Dallas is my home. I made my home there, my family lives there forever gonna be there, you know. But you know, I know for sure I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there.”
Lawrence’s comments went viral, and it wasn’t long before his former teammate had something to say. Responding to the interview, Parsons said: “This what rejection and envy look like. This some clown s**t”
Lawrence then fired back, suggesting Parsons focus on winning rather than posting online. “Calling me a clown won’t change the fact that I told the truth. Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn’t have left.”

The exchange predictably blew up online, becoming one of the biggest talking points in the NFL. That included discussions on shows like “The Facility,” where Acho and his co-hosts broke it down.
Emmanuel Acho Has Strong Words for Parsons, Lawrence
Acho addressed the situation with a sharp, well-delivered monologue that didn’t pull any punches. Acho was clear, precise, and assertive, but measured. The speech may have diffused the tension around the situation for some, as Acho pointedly called out both players for their comments.
“First thing is this, DeMarcus Lawrence, you are not winning a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, that is where you’re wrong.” Acho started with Lawrence, questioning the Seahawks’ championship potential before turning on Parsons.
“Now let me say this,” he continued, “Micah Parsons, just because you’re the best Cowboy, does not mean you’re the only Cowboy. Just because you wear the star and you wear the star with supreme capability does not mean you’re the only one that has ever donned the star.”

Acho then pointed out Lawrence’s extensive career in Dallas, suggesting that the veteran may have insight that Parsons has yet to gain. He reinforced this by citing players and coaches who found success after leaving the organization.
“Dan Quinn, he left and instantly went to an NFC Championship game as the head coach for the Washington Commanders. Kellen Moore, he left and won a Super Bowl just three years later as an offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles. Dalton Schultz, he left and won more playoff games in two years with the Houston Texans than he did with the Dallas Cowboys in five years. So maybe, just maybe, there is some truth to what these people are saying.”
Acho’s reasoning is hard to argue with. Parsons is right to defend his team—no one wins without believing in themselves. But after 11 years with the Cowboys, Lawrence’s perspective on the team is well-informed.
