A’ja Wilson Aims Playful Dig at Jackie Young After Laces Star’s Stellar Performance on Unrivaled Night

Even A’ja Wilson can’t believe what she’s seeing when Jackie Young goes off.

The Las Vegas Aces’ superstar was in the building for Unrivaled Night, watching her WNBA teammate Young torch the competition. Dropping 27 points in just 18 minutes, Young had everyone’s attention, including Wilson’s, who had the perfect reaction courtside. And in classic Wilson fashion? She didn’t hold back.

Jackie Young’s Scorching Performance Leaves Wilson Stunned

Young was on another level for Laces BC against Breanna Stewart and Mist BC. The $504,900 Aces star guard was locked in, shooting 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-8 from deep, lighting up the scoreboard in dominant fashion.

Meanwhile, Wilson and Chelsea Gray, who were watching courtside, were losing their minds at what they saw.

In a now-viral video, Wilson, eyes wide and jaw nearly on the floor, was caught saying, “What the f*** got into you?” The moment instantly blew up online, fans loving Wilson’s reaction just as much as Young’s masterclass on the court.

But Wilson wasn’t done. She later joined the Bleacher Report Women’s Instagram comments to keep the energy going, “Likeeee March is for the college kids RELAXXXXXX lololol.”

Yeah, it’s safe to say she wasn’t expecting Young to show out like that.

Wilson Sits Out Unrivaled But Keeps the Energy High

While Young is thriving in Unrivaled, Wilson chose to sit this out. It’s a decision that might’ve had the league missing a major star, but one she felt was necessary.

Wilson and Young were a force to reckon with for the Aces in the 2024 season. Wilson is the shining MVP. Averaging at 26.9 PTS, 11.9 RPG, and 2.3 BPG, proving why she’s the league’s most dominant player. On the other hand, Young took her game to another level, putting up 15.8 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds, all while shooting at 33.7% from three.

Wilson is prioritizing her offseason rest—and rightfully so. She’s been open about wanting to protect her peace before heading into another grueling WNBA season.

That didn’t stop her from showing love to her teammates, though. Wilson and Gray were fully locked in, hyping up Young from the sidelines and adding even more energy to an already electric night.

And after this performance? Young reminded the world why she’s one of the best guards in the game. With Unrivaled heating up and the WNBA season right around the corner, one thing’s for sure: the Aces will be a problem again.
