$90 Million Worth Tony Stewart Reveals Honest Thoughts on Son Dominic’s Potential Racing Future

In November 2024, Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett welcomed their son, Dominic James Stewart, to their family. With both parents boasting rich motorsports backgrounds, speculation about Dominic’s future in racing has already begun. And in a recent interview, Stewart shared his thoughts on the matter.

Tony Stewart Sets the Record Straight on Son Dominic’s Racing Future

Stewart first took the wheel of a go-kart at just seven years old. His father, Nelson Stewart, played a hands-on role in developing Tony’s passion for motorsports.

The lessons learned on short tracks, under his father’s guidance, were crucial in shaping Stewart’s legendary career. Now a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, he’s experiencing the journey from a father’s perspective in his own right.

The natural question is, will Stewart’s three-month-old son follow in his footsteps?

NASCAR has a long history of racing dynasties.

Families like the Pettys, Earnhardts, Elliotts, and Jarretts have produced generations of drivers, and this tradition continues with rising stars like Keelan Harvick and Brexton Busch.

Since Pruett, a renowned NHRA drag racer, gave birth to Dominic in November, fans have been eager to know what his parents have in store for his future in racing.

Stewart has an answer for all those curious minds.

In an interview with radio host Bubba Clem, also known as “Bubba the Love Sponge,” Stewart addressed the speculation about his son’s potential racing career. Clem asked Stewart where he might want to start his son’s racing journey and what path he would prefer for him.

“I think it starts one step before that. And honestly, Leah and I have had this conversation. And it was really short. It kind of amazed me because there are so many directions for kids in motorsports now that you kind of have to have an idea of what you wanna do,” Stewart said.

“Leah and myself both agree that we just want to let him choose his own path,” he continued. “Do we feel like he’s going to end up in some form of motorsports? It’s really hard to believe — with a professional race car-driving father and mother — that’s not going to be a path he wants to go.”
