Micah Parsons Mocks Eagles With 7-Word Message After Darius Slay Leaves Jalen Hurts Off ‘Elite’ QB List

The latest episode of Darius Slay’s podcast has stirred up controversy among Eagles players and fans, and it doesn’t look like that will stop anytime soon. Slay recently shared his list of elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and one name was noticeably absent — Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons caught wind of Slay’s rankings and took the opportunity to poke fun at Eagles fans with a social media post.

Darius Slay Leaves Jalen Hurts Off Elite QB List, Micah Parsons Responds

Slay, who hosts the Big Play Slay podcast, posted a new episode following reports that the Eagles plan to release him.

Among the many topics he covered, one of the biggest talking points was his ranking of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks.

Slay named Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen — four widely respected quarterbacks. However, what caught attention was the name he didn’t mention: Jalen Hurts, his teammate of the past five seasons and the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

Parsons wasted no time reacting to Slay’s rankings, trolling Eagles fans with a short and sarcastic social media post:

“Omg don’t let Eagles fans see this.”

Hurts’ Place Among the NFL’s Top Quarterbacks

In the weeks following the Super Bowl, debates have continued over where Hurts ranks among the league’s top quarterbacks. While media and analysts frequently weigh in on these conversations, it’s rare for current players to publicly engage — especially in a case like this, where Slay just won a championship with Hurts but didn’t include him among the league’s elite.

Parsons, never one to shy away from sharing his opinions on social media, has a history of trolling Eagles fans. So, when he saw Slay’s rankings, he likely saw an easy opportunity to stir the pot.

    Could Slay Return to Philadelphia?

Despite being released by the team, there’s still a possibility Slay returns to the Eagles. He has stated that there are “no hard feelings” between him and the organization and that he would be open to a return if the right offer came along.

According to NFL.com, Slay has interest in playing for either the Eagles or his former team, the Detroit Lions, in what he says will be his final NFL season in 2025.

If Slay does return to Philadelphia, he may have to answer for leaving Hurts off his list of elite quarterbacks — something that Eagles fans certainly won’t forget anytime soon.
