Shedeur Sanders has been the talk of the town for this year’s NFL draft. He spent the last two seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes under the guidance of his dad, Coach Prime. Shedeur led the team to a 9-4 campaign last year and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
The quarterback was also invited to this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. However, he decided not to participate in the workouts and to focus on team meetings and interviews. This decision led to Shedeur receiving a lot of hate and criticism.
And now, the Buffs’ senior analyst, Warren Sapp, called out the anonymous NFL QB Coach who shared some harsh words about his team’s quarterback.

Warren Sapp Sends Warning to Anonymous NFL QB Coach for Targeting Shedeur Sanders
On Monday, reporter Josina Anderson shared a long tweet on X about the criticism Shedeur Sanders has been receiving. According to her, one QB coach of a team that is drafting in the top seven called Coach Prime’s son ‘brash’ and ‘arrogant’ Anderson was disappointed with this take as Shedeur had a positive interaction with the media at the Combine.
On Wednesday, Warren Sapp made an appearance on ‘Thee Pregame Show.’ He sent a direct warning to this anonymous quarterback coach for targeting Shedeur Sanders.
“Then we’re talking about a quarterback coach who’s not a decision maker, wants to make a call about our quarterback,” Sapp said. “Dog, I been waiting for the last 48 hours to get his name. If we get his name, oh buddy, we gonna do a deep dive into his life. He gonna wish he never did.”
“If you’re not a decision maker, shut up. And if he doesn’t understand what it means to be the baby of a family like that. He’s got all Bucky and Shilo’s strengths and his sister, and none of their weaknesses. He’s a day walker.”

Shedeur’s decision not to participate in the Combine has led his draft stock to decline as well. According to several experts, Miami’s Cam Ward is now the favorite to be the first quarterback off the board in April.
Former NFL Star Turned Analyst Extends Support to Shedeur Sanders Amid Harsh Criticism
Despite the negative narrative surrounding Coach Prime’s sons, ex-NFL star Emmanuel Acho stood his ground to back up Shedeur Sanders.
On Tuesday’s episode of ‘The Facility,’ Acho stated that people who are criticizing the quarterback are insecure of him as a rising star.
“I think Shedeur Sander’s security makes a lot of people insecure,” Acho said. “I think Shedeur Sanders realizing, ‘Wait a second, I’ve made money before I go to the NFL. Wait a second, my pops has already taught me the value of not only money but the value, most importantly, of myself.'”
“So when Shedeur Sanders comes off as confident, comes off as secure, comes off as knowing who he is, you insecure, dictate his security as something that’s an issue.”

Emmanuel Acho is not the only one who came forward to support Shedeur Sanders. Former NFL RB LeSean McCoy and WR T.J. Houshmanzadeh have also called out this anonymous coach for his comments and pinned him as a ‘coward.’
Every year, before the draft, we’ve seen similar stories unfold. So it is safe to say that the consensus is that Shedeur will go as a top-three pick in April and will make a name for himself in the league like his father.
