Brad Keselowski released a statement addressing the post-race medical treatment he received at Circuit of the Americas. After being carted off pit road on a stretcher, Keselowski took to social media to reassure fans that he was okay and that his focus was now on Phoenix.
Although Keselowski finished 15th, he had a tough day at COTA. RFK Racing, where Keselowski is both a part-owner and driver, revealed that his cool suit wasn’t working, and at one point during the race, he was given an ice pack.
After the race, medical personnel rushed the driver of the No. 6 car to the infield care center, where he received treatment. RFK Racing shared an update on social media, saying, “After his cool suit failed during today’s race, [Keselowski] went to the infield care center to get some IV fluids. Can confirm he is feeling much better now.”
Brad Keselowski Is Doing Much Better and Has Shifted Focus to Phoenix
Keselowski also posted a message on his X account, saying, “Yesterday was a tough one at COTA. Sometimes, things happen that are out of our control, but I’m thankful for my team and the care I received at track. At the end of it all, we came home with a top 15 finish. Appreciate the support – on to Phoenix.”

Starting from P26, Keselowski’s 15th-place finish at COTA is even more impressive, considering he battled the extreme Texas heat for much of the race. Now feeling better, fans are looking forward to seeing Keselowski back in action at the NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway this weekend.
Despite the challenges, Keselowski had plenty of praise for his teammate Chris Buescher, who drove the No. 17 RFK Racing Ford Mustang to a seventh-place finish after starting 24th.
Buescher, nicknamed “The Factory,” is widely regarded as one of the best road course drivers in NASCAR. Keselowski posted on X, “Best road course racer in Cup. #TheFactory.”
