Bianca Belair won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday, March 1, and earned the right to challenge for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41.
That champion would be determined on Monday Night Raw when Iyo Sky challenged Rhea Ripley for the title. With her efforts and some support from Belair, Sky defeated Ripley to become the new champion — officially making it Belair vs. Sky at WrestleMania 41 with the title on the line.
Bianca Belair Reacts to Iyo Sky’s Win
Most fans expected Ripley to prevail and challenge Belair on The Grandest Stage of Them All. However, Sky surprised them all by defeating “Mami” in a hard-fought match.
Belair, who had a heated exchange with Ripley that ultimately cost her the title, has reacted to Sky’s win on X by mentioning the new champion’s name.
“Iyo Sky #wrESTleMania,” she wrote.

Sky’s WWE Career
This isn’t Sky’s first time winning a championship title. In fact, her talent and hard work have helped her win several WWE titles in the past few years.
Sky made her debut back in 2018 (under the name Io Shirai) and soon built a name for herself in this industry beginning in NXT, becoming one of the most popular female wrestlers. She grabbed her first championship in 2020 by defeating Charlotte Flair and Ripley in a triple-threat match to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
One of Sky’s most memorable wins, though, came at the 2023 SummerSlam when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract against Belair to become the WWE Women’s Champion.
After defeating Ripley on Raw, Sky became the seventh WWE Grand Slam Champion and joined the elite list of Flair, Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks), Becky Lynch, Bayley, Ripley, and Asuka. Now, she is set to make headlines at WrestleMania by competing in what may be one of the most important matches of her career.
