Over the last calendar year, the rise Jey Uso has been on is nothing short of historic. While a perennial tag team specialist for nearly 14 years, his story with The Bloodline showed the potential of a main event player. Since separating from the group, he’s been given the chance, and he’s run away with it, emerging as one of the most organic babyfaces in modern times.
However, with Jey’s rise to superstardom almost linear, it has left his twin brother, Jimmy Uso, a tad bit behind. The punching bag for The Bloodline for ages, Jimmy has recently started to turn a corner as a singles act.
However, the difference between the two heading into WrestleMania season couldn’t be more apparent. With the divide in their standing, how does the younger brother feel about the gap?
Jey Uso Overwhelmed When Talking About His Brother
Since they first came into the WWE, the Usos have staked a legitimate claim as the greatest tag team in the company’s history. Whether it’s outstanding character work, promos, unforgettable moments, or undeniably excellent matches, their catalog has it all. But with Jey Uso in line for a WrestleMania main event, the conversation turned to his brother.
Speaking to Shak Wrestling, Uso was asked, “Is it at all bittersweet or weird for you to be experiencing the success you are right now, seeing that your brother isn’t quite there yet?”
Yet, the former Intercontinental Champion didn’t quite see it the same way.
“My brother’s living it with me, though. He is, like, he is. He is, man. I get, like, I learned-,” Uso tried to carry on, but his emotions got the better of him in a genuinely touching moment. Recovering, he reiterated, “Man, he’s there with me, man.”
Even Shak Wrestling had to acknowledge the heartwarming moment, thanking the 2025 Royal Rumble winner for sharing that with him.
The Usos’ journey and authentic love have been on display for anyone following WWE programming. But it’s beyond the confines of kayfabe that the true bond between the twins comes out on full display.
