In just eight games with the Los Angeles Lakers, Luka Dončić is already making history with his new team. The young point guard is proving to be a good match alongside LeBron James, hoping to lead the franchise to another title.
Barreling past the Los Angeles Clippers with a narrow 108-102 victory, Doncic led the Lakers with 29 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Not only is Dončić growing comfortable with every game, but he has also achieved another milestone in his career.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, of course, leads the list. The veteran has made the record on two separate occasions, once with 268 games in 2023, and once in 2017 with 157 games.
The other players on the list are Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard, former Bucks star Kyle Korver, and Los Angeles Clippers star Bogdan Bogdanovic.

As per a different stat, Dončić is the second-fastest Lakers star to reach the iconic 150 points, 50 rebounds, and 50 assists milestone in franchise history.
The only person to do it faster was James himself.
Dončić, who was on the receiving end of cheers at their home arena, spoke to reporters about the new experience postgame.
Luka Dončić Gave an Update After His In-Game Injury
While Dončić was able to overcome his struggles and put 29 points on the board, he was dealing with a knee issue. Dončić was fouled during Q1 but assured well-wishers he was ‘good’ later on.
“It was on the fall, I think,” Dončić said postgame. “Just a little tight. But then I got kneed in the knee. Third straight game in the same spot, so kind of struggle on that right leg. But I’m good.”
With postseason fast approaching, Dončić and James’ duo has assured fans that another title was certainly a possibility. The Lakers will be facing the New Orleans Pelicans on March 4 at Crypto.com Arena.
