Cody Rhodes’ Legendary Brother Sends 6-Word Message to John Cena and The Rock After Elimination Chamber Shocker

At WWE’s Elimination Chamber, John Cena left everyone shocked when he teamed up with The Rock (and Travis Scott) to assault Cody Rhodes.

It’s the first time in over two decades since Cena has turned heel, with a short run early in his career. Some people are excited about Cena’s new character, but others are not and are criticizing his actions. Dustin Rhodes, Cody’s brother, obviously falls in the second category.

Cody Rhodes Denied The Rock His Soul

On the Feb. 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Final Boss asked Cody Rhodes for his soul, giving him time until the Elimination Chamber to think about it. The entire WWE Universe was curious about what Rhodes would decide.

During the WWE’s latest premium event, after Cena won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, the American Nightmare came on stage to congratulate him. Soon, The Rock joined and asked Rhodes if he was ready to give him his soul. Rhodes refused, saying that his soul belongs to the ring and his fans.

Then, the unexpected happened. Cena, after initially hugging Rhodes, attacked the WWE Champion alongside The Rock and Scott, and turning himself heel in the process.

Dustin Rhodes, who was outraged to see it, took to social media to condemn the actions of both The Rock and Cena.

“Shame on you🤬!!! Both of you!!”

John Cena Made a Huge Sacrifice, Believes WWE Veteran

Throughout his long career, fans had expected a heel turn from Cena on several occasions. But the 16-time WWE World Champion chose to finally deliver the shock at Elimination Chamber by assaulting the fan-favorite Cody Rhodes.

As a result, WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman believes Cena gave up millions of dollars.

“Understand everybody is watching right now that Cena probably just gave up millions of dollars to do this. At least millions of dollars to do this,” Coachman said on the Behind the Turnbuckle podcast.

Cena, Rhodes, The Rock, and The Thrill of WrestleMania

By winning the Elimination Chamber, Cena has earned the opportunity to face the current undisputed champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. The heel turn has just made things spicier.

How are things going to fit in? What role will The Final Boss play in their rivalry, and will others like CM Punk and Seth Rollins come to Rhodes’ aid again like last year?

There are many questions on the minds of wrestling fans around the globe, and it will be interesting to see how the events unfold in the coming weeks.
