Star Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, a projected top pick in April’s NFL Draft, delivered a perfect six-word response when asked who would win a hypothetical matchup between two-way sensation Travis Hunter and … Travis Hunter — the lockdown cornerback and the dynamic wide receiver.
The question sparked debate among NFL fans, but Sanders’ quick-witted answer showcased his trust in Hunter’s elite skillset on both sides of the ball.

Shedeur Sanders Stumped by Intriguing Travis Hunter Question at Combine
Sanders and Hunter continue to make headlines as two of the most electrifying players to come out of college football this offseason. Hunter’s ability to dominate on offense and defense presents a rare challenge, even for his own quarterback. “I guess I just gotta scramble,” Sanders said in response to the query after grunting.
Sanders’ response demonstrated his confidence in Hunter’s talent and hinted at his own elite improvisation skills.

When asked about his confidence level in Sanders being the best quarterback of the 2025 NFL Draft class, Hunter replied, “I’m very confident. I believe he’s definitely the best quarterback in this draft.”
Where are Sanders, Hunter Projected To Go in the NFL Draft?
With eight weeks left until the 2025 NFL Draft, mock drafts are in full swing. Jacob Infante, an NFL Draft analyst for PFSN, sees Sanders and Hunter going within the top two picks in his latest seven-round NFL mock draft.
That is, of course, if the Tennessee Titans, currently holding the No. 1 spot in the NFL Draft order, make a blockbuster trade with the quarterback-needy Las Vegas Raiders. Infante projects the Raiders send picks No. 6 and 37, a 2026 first, a 2026 third, and a 2027 second to the Titans for the coveted first.

Meanwhile, at No. 2, the Cleveland Browns snag Sanders’ former teammate Hunter.
“There hasn’t been a prospect like Travis Hunter in quite some time,” Infante wrote. “While he has potential as a wide receiver at the next level, I like him better in a part-time offensive role to maximize his elite ball skills and fluidity as a cornerback in coverage.”
That’s not how Browns general manager Andrew Berry sees it, though. “We would see him as a receiver, primarily, first,” Berry revealed on Feb. 25 at the NFL Combine. “Part of what makes him a bit of a unicorn is the fact that he can do both at a high level.”
