‘Any Team That Needs a QB Will Forever Regret Passing on Shedeur Sanders’ – Skip Bayless Issues Blunt Message to NFL Teams

NFL analyst Skip Bayless shares bold analysis on Shedeur Sanders heading into the 2025 NFL Draft

Earlier in the NFL Combine week, there have been rumors that Shedeur Sanders’ draft stock has fallen and he won’t be a top-5 pick. These reports seem to have triggered analysts like Skip Bayless, who has come forward to voice concerns and explain what makes Shedeur a perfect QB choice.

While the Combine drills are happening at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from February 27 to March 2, Shedeur had previously announced that he won’t be participating in the workouts but rather focus on team meetings and interviews with the top brass of several franchises.

Skip Bayless Makes Eye-Catching Remarks About Shedeur Sanders

The 2024 season at Colorado has been massive for Shedeur from a career standpoint. He played a pivotal role in leading the program to a 9-4 record and making the postseason Bowl game for the first time since 2020.

A team that was 1-11 two years ago has now become a Big 12 powerhouse. Despite all these achievements, downgrading Shedeur’s draft stock appears to have irked Bayless, who voiced his support for the young QB through his podcast this week.

“I’ve heard enough of him. I’ve seen enough about him. If I’m the Tennessee Titans. Yeah, first and overall, I am taking Shedeur Sanders. Want to be on the record with that. Okay, just for the record, it is possible his daddy has quietly made it clear to Tennessee and maybe to Cleveland that his son will not play in Nashville or in Cleveland.

“Deion Sanders has mentioned publicly that there’s a possibility he’ll pull an Archie, as in Archie Manning did force the charges to trade Eli to the Giants, that was,” Bayless explained the scenario.

“So it is possible Dion will flex his considerable national power, and he will make sure that Shedeur is there at three for the Giants. Obviously, that will be my worst nightmare as a Cowboy fan because Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels, and Shedeur Sanders play six times every year.

“That’s more than 1/3 of the games every year. But then again, it’s also possible, from all I’m reading and hearing, that this is what just blows my mind—that Shedeur Sanders will fall to the Giants at three, or even to the Raiders at four. I keep reading and hearing that lots of NFL people consider Shedeur a late first, early second round pick, what have you been watching?

“I keep reading and hearing that any team taking him in the top five will forever regret it, and my mind is blown. I would like to go on record once more again right here during combine week. Any team in this draft that needs a quarterback will forever regret passing on Shedeur Sanders,” he added.

Looking at the current draft order, all three top teams—the Tennessee Titans, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Giants—are in dire need of a QB. If they pass on him, the Las Vegas Raiders could be the next most likely destination.
