On-field workouts at the 2025 NFL Combine are about to kick off with the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs as the main attraction. With each new year, more big-name prospects (especially quarterbacks) focus on the interview portion of their trip to Indianapolis and skip the on-field work choosing to perform at their school’s Pro Day.

This year, 15 quarterbacks were invited to the NFL Combine, but how many will be throwing? Here’s the list of those quarterbacks and their latest updates.

    2025 NFL Combine Quarterbacks

    1) Max Brosmer, Minnesota

Brosmer spent five seasons at New Hampshire before transferring to Minnesota for the 2024 season. He went 8-5 in his lone FBS season throwing for 2,617 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

This is a very smart quarterback who has played a lot of football, but he struggles to create against pressure and has had durability issues. Brosmer will fully participate in the on-field workout and is projected as a seventh-round pick by PFSN.

    2) Brady Cook, Missouri

Cook spent his entire five-year college career at Missouri becoming the starter in 2022. None of his three years starting were particularly impressive, finishing his time as a Tiger throwing for 2,535 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions.

He has the athleticism and toughness necessary for the NFL, but his arm strength and average at best processing will limit him. Cook is likely a late Day Three, potentially undrafted quarterback who will throw at the NFL Combine.

    3) Jaxson Dart, Mississippi

Dart had an impressive college career improving in every significant stat each season. After spending his first year at Southern California, he transferred to Ole Miss and grew into an effective quarterback. Dart threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions in his final season. He also led FBS in yards gained per pass attempt (10.8), so he’s no stranger to pushing the ball downfield.

Dart has an average arm and can struggle to drive the ball when throwing on the move, but he’s good at going through his entire progression when needed and improved every year. He’s expected to be a second-round pick in PFSN’s latest mock draft and should be a full participant this week.

    4) Quinn Ewers, Texas

Coming out of high school, Ewers was expected to be a can’t-miss, five-star player. He originally went to Ohio State and transferred to Texas after one season. He led the Longhorns to back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances but never lived up to the hype. He threw for 3,472 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in his final season.

Ewers has arguably the best arm of any quarterback in this class but was too inconsistent in college to be a top-end prospect. He’s projected as a late third-round pick in PFSN’s latest mock and is expected to participate fully in the on-field workout.

    5) Dillon Gabriel, Oregon

Gabriel was a six-year college quarterback going from Central Florida to Oklahoma to Oregon. In his final season he led the Ducks to a 13-1 record including a Big 10 Championship and a disappointing exit in the College Football Playoff.

This is an experienced quarterback with great competitiveness and just enough physical talent to make things happen. However, his size and inconsistent ability to drive the ball downfield will limit him. PFSN has Gabriel as a fifth-round pick and he’s expected to trow at the NFL Combine.

    6) Seth Henigan, Memphis

Henigan was a four-year player at Memphis starting all 50 games of his career. He led the Tigers to an 11-2 record in his final season throwing for 3,502 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 2024.

He’s another experienced quarterback who can be a game-managing backup given his physical traits. Henigan is projected to go undrafted by PFSN and will be throwing at the NFL Combine.

    7) Will Howard, Ohio State

Howard spent his first four college seasons at Kansas State, battling to become the starter in 2023. He transferred to Ohio State last season and led a stacked Buckeyes team to a National Championship. Howard threw for 4,010 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2024 and became a serious prospect during his playoff run.

He has the size and arm strength for the NFL but will have to prove he wasn’t a product of a loaded offense. Howard is projected as a third-round pick by PFSN and is expected to throw at the NFL Combine.

    8) Riley Leonard, Notre Dame

Leonard played at Duke his first three college seasons before transferring to Notre Dame for 2024. He led the Fighting Irish to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game throwing for 2,861 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He added 906 yards and 17 scores on the ground last season.

This is a legit dual-threat QB with good size and toughness. He’s not the best at processing defenses and will need to improve his mechanics. Leonard is a projected sixth-round pick by PFSN and is expected to fully participate in the on-field workout.

    9) Kyle McCord, Syracuse

McCord spent his first three years at Ohio State and went 11-1 in his lone year as the starter in 2023. He was run out of town after that and ended up at Syracuse where he led the Orange to a 10-3 record while leading FBS in completions (391), passing yards (4,779), and yards per game (367.6).

He wasn’t a product of a loaded offense in 2024 due to his processing ability and decision-making. However, his arm strength is average at best and he struggles to be accurate when moved off his spot. McCord is projected as a fifth-round pick by PFSN and is expected to throw this week.

    10) Graham Mertz, Florida

Mertz is another six-year player who spent four years at Wisconsin before heading south. He only played five games in his final year at Florida, tearing his ACL against Tennessee. Mertz was 2-3 in 2024 while throwing for 791 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions.

This is a late Day Three quarterback at best whose best trait is his arm strength. Mertz struggles to create outside the pocket because of limited athleticism and a need to see his guy open before pulling the trigger. He’s expected to be a full participant in the on-field workout.

    11) Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Milroe was a true dual-threat quarterback in his two years as Alabama’s starter. He threw for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2024 while adding 726 yards and 20 scores on the ground. He’s improved his throwing ability each of the last two seasons but has a lot to prove as a quarterback.

This is an electric, creative athlete with a big arm and speed to be dangerous in space, however, his mechanics need big-time improvement to stick in the NFL. He’s projected as an early third-round pick by PFSN and is confirmed to throw at the NFL Combine.

    12) Kurtis Rourke, Indiana

Rourke is a six-year player spending his first five seasons at Ohio University. He did what was thought to be impossible, leading Indiana to a 10-2 record in games he started and a College Football Playoff Berth. Rourke threw for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns, and five interceptions in his final college season.

His accuracy and ball placement were average at best last season, but his toughness is off the charts playing the entire 2024 season with a torn ACL. It’s unclear if he’ll be ready by the start of training camp but he’s projected to go undrafted by PFSN. It’s unclear if he will throw during on-field drills.

    13) Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Sanders led an impressive turnaround at Colorado in 2024, leading the Buffaloes to a 9-4 record. He led the Big 12 in attempts (477), completions (353), passing yards (4,134), and touchdowns (37) last season, and became the all-time FBS leader in career completion percentage (71.8%) after connecting on 74% of his passes as a senior.

He’s been in first-overall pick conversations but has settled around No. 6 in recent mock drafts. This is a calm and collected quarterback with average arm strength, speed, and athletic ability who is deadly accurate with the ball. Sanders has chosen not to throw at the NFL Combine.

    14) Tyler Shough, Louisville

Shough had the longest college career of the 2025 NFL Combine quarterbacks playing for three schools over seven seasons. He went 8-4 with Louisville in 2024 throwing for 3,195 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

This is a resilient quarterback with good accuracy and touch, however, multiple major injuries forced him to miss a lot of playing time. He’s been getting a lot of love leading into Indianapolis and is projected as a fifth-round pick by PFSN. Shough is expected to throw at the NFL Combine.

    15) Cam Ward, Miami (FL)

Ward is likely a top-three pick with a strong chance of going first overall and is the other big-name QB to keep an eye on in Indianapolis. He became the all-time Division 1 leader in passing touchdowns (158) after finishing the 2024 season with 39. Ward threw for 4,313 yards and seven interceptions, leading Miami to a 10-3 record.

He has a good arm and athleticism to match but can get reckless with the ball when he tries to do too much. Ward decided late into the process that he would not throw at the NFL Combine.
