Martin, nicknamed “The Kid” during his racing days, has come out in support of Hocevar. He retweeted a video clip from Shawn K The King’s X account.

The clip is a scene from the movie House Party 3 in which actor Bernie Mac is giving another character from the movie advice about being himself. Martin captioned the post, “For @CarsonHocevar,” and has encouraged the young driver to ignore what others think about him and carry on with what he is doing.

Although some drivers may not have taken it well, others have loved it. Landon Cassill also took to social media to show his support for Hocevar, saying in a post, “It’s so funny to see a bunch of veteran drivers p***** at a young and aggressive rookie going for his first win. A tale as old as time. I love it.”
