Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s wife, Madyson Joye Stenhouse, took to Instagram recently to share her traumatic experience with online hate. Madyson has received several hate messages and has been a victim of cyberbullying after her husband’s on-track clash with Joey Logano at the 2025 Daytona 500.
Madyson also shared a series of pictures explaining what she went through after Stenhouse and Logano made contact during the race, which resulted in the latter’s race coming to an end. Stenhouse, meanwhile, went on to finish 18th.

In the post Madyson said, “My thoughts today if you care: Social media can be so dark. I spent the week digesting some of the messages I got last Sunday. These messages and tweets and comments happen all the time. Sometimes I’m able to easily brush them off and sometimes they stop me in my tracks. It made me think of all the people out there who receive these kinds of messages too. Real mean messages.”
She went on to write, “You don’t have to be in the ‘spotlight’ or married/related to someone in the spotlight, or even have a lot of followers to experience something like this. I instantly thought of the young kids at school, maybe experiencing bad acne or not having the ‘cool’ clothes, or not able to afford the latest Stanley.
“You hear about it all the time… mean people, especially mean kids, on social media and the impact it’s having on our youth. So that’s been weighing on my heart all week and I’ve been praying for any kind of person I can think of (famous, not-famous, middle schoolers, high schoolers, leaders, etc) that may experience ‘bullying’ or just mean people in general.
“Social media has always been fun for me! I love sharing our family and sharing the joy and love and adventures that God has allowed me to experience. And, don’t get me wrong, I have encountered so many wonderful people on here. But sometimes it gets so dark with hate that I just want to throw in the towel.”

Madyson went on to talk about how she had listened to a sermon by American pastor Steven Furtick and that it had inspired her to keep sharing the love of God and accept the joy that God provides. She concluded her post by wishing her followers a good day and telling them she loves them, and so does God.
