Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward are expected to be the top two quarterbacks selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
Earlier in the week, Sanders and Ward were seen training together ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. A video reposted on X profile shows both QBs fighting and wrestling for the football in an attempt to make the other player lose control of the ball.

Sanders and Ward can be seen trying to hold on to the football, despite the other individual attempting to force the ball loose.
‘@One9Sports’ reposted the clip, highlighting a quote by Ward from the video and credited the X profile ‘@WellOffForever’ — a brand associated with Deion Sanders Jr.

Sanders and Ward’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Despite being the top two options and both having the ability to transform and improve an NFL offense, Sanders and Ward are very different prospects. Sanders is more of a pocket passer, who has an accurate arm and elite football IQ. Meanwhile, Ward is a gunslinger who has a massive arm and is also extremely mobile on the ground as a runner as well
Sanders was extremely successful this past year for the Buffaloes. On the year, he had 4,134 passing yards, 41 total touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and a ridiculously impressive 74.0% completion percentage. For these efforts, Sanders was awarded the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award as the top upperclassman QB in CFB. He was also the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and a CSN first-team All-American selection.

Meanwhile, Ward was also just as impressive and excellent this past campaign. He had 4,313 passing yards, 43 total touchdowns, only seven interceptions, and a completion percentage of 67.2%. He won the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award, was the ACC Player of the Year, and was a CSN second-team All-American, among other awards as well.
In PFSN’s latest 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Sanders and Ward were the top two quarterbacks — and players overall — taken in the draft. In that mock draft, Ward had the slight edge over Sanders, as he was selected No. 1 overall by the Tennessee Titans. Sanders was then picked No. 2 overall by the Cleveland Browns.
While it remains to be seen whether this exact scenario occurs on draft night, it is clear that both quarterbacks are remaining competitive and keeping it light-hearted in their training together ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
