Ravens Predicted To Upgrade Lamar Jackson’s Weapons, Adding $28.6 Million Superstar WR This Offseason

The Baltimore Ravens failed to reach the Super Bowl yet again. Could they pair Lamar Jackson with Tyreek Hill to finally get over the hump?

The Baltimore Ravens are hoping two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson will lead them to their first Super Bowl victory since 2013, and they are looking to upgrade the talent around him to avoid a fallout like last season.

The Ravens were close to advancing to the AFC Championship Game before shooting themselves in the foot with bad turnovers and costly drops during a 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round.

While the Ravens’ offense ranked second in PFSN’s Offense+ metric, the front office will likely try to fill the roster with even more talent. One analyst predicts that the team should acquire one of the fastest wide receivers.

Ravens Predicted To Upgrade Lamar Jackson’s Weapons with Tyreek Hill

Baltimore bulked up its offense in different ways last summer, and Jackson thrived with the additions. Running back Derrick Henry was brought in via free agency, and WR Zay Flowers took a huge leap in his sophomore campaign, even earning a Pro Bowl selection.

But after they failed to advance to the Super Bowl yet again, the front office will likely look to strengthen their defense further, and Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton boldly predicts they will acquire Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill. While Moton acknowledges that Hill would need to restructure his contract to make the move feasible, he believes the receiver would make them “indefensible” next season.

“The Ravens will remain aggressive in building around Lamar Jackson, who posted career highs in passing yards (4,172) and passing touchdowns (41) this season,” Moton writes.

“If the Ravens traded for [Tyreek] Hill this offseason, they’d field an offense that terrifies opponents. Between Derrick Henry’s power on the ground, Hill’s speed on the perimeter and Jackson’s dynamic playmaking ability under center, they’d be nearly indefensible.

“Hill might have to restructure his contract to make the deal more palatable for Miami when it comes to dead cap money. But if the 30-year-old deep threat is serious about wanting to play elsewhere, he may be willing to amend his contract to join Jackson and Henry in Baltimore.”

Hill sparked trade speculation after the Dolphins failed to reach the postseason, telling the media he wanted out. However, Hill and his camp have reflected since that statement and have made it known that he wants to stay a Dolphin as long as they bolster the roster.

Despite the off-field drama, Hill is widely regarded as a top receiving threat in the NFL. His pure, off-the-line speed is something no other WR can match. By constantly posing a threat with his legs, Jackson could pull defensive players down from the secondary, allowing Hill to score the 50+ yard touchdowns he so often did in his prime.

Adding Hill would only bolster the Ravens’ chances of putting together a special season. PFSN’s bold predictions for 2025 forecasts the Ravens as a top team in 2025.  “The Ravens will be unbeaten through December and be the NFL’s top overall seed,” according to PFSN’s staff. If Hill is genuinely in the mix at receiver, that prediction seems all the more likely.

If the trade with Hill doesn’t work, which would likely be the case if he wants to stay and is not ready to restructure his contract, Baltimore can improve its offensive by looking at PFN’s Top 100 Free Agents list which has Kansas City guard Trey Smith listed as No. 2.
