Tee Higgins’ saga is set to be dragged this entire offseason as well. As was the case in 2024, Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals do not seem to be on the same page.
In this scenario, ESPN’s NFL analyst Kimberley A. Martin suggests the wide receiver should join the Bengals’ bitter rivals to get a big payday.

Kimberley A. Martin Wants Tee Higgins To Land At The Bengals’ AFC Rivals
Last season, Cincinnati put a franchise tag on the WR to make him stay amidst contract extension issues. Higgins ended up signing a one-year deal later on. The 26-year-old has become an integral part of the Bengals’ attack with the likes of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.
The quarterback has publicly stated numerous times, that he wants to keep his squad around, even willing to restructure his contract to achieve this goal. However, several pundits believe, that will not be enough, and Higgins might end up leaving the Bengals.
In steps Martin during her appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up” during a discussion on Higgins’ next team. She highlighted that the wide-out will be best served by joining the Bengals’ bitter rivals; the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Selfishly, I want to see him with the Chiefs,” she said. “You know why? Bad blood between these two teams, and if the Bengals don’t want to pay for Tee Higgins.”

“Listen the Chiefs I understand they have Patrick Mahomes, but they need to give him another receiver, a guy who can go up and get contested balls. This is the guy that they need.”
Higgins Predicts His Future
Higgins is aware that he isn’t the only one looking for a new deal. The WR also understands the cap constraints that the Bengals are facing. As such in an interview with FOX19’s Joe Danneman, he highlighted his current situation.

“Obviously, we want to build something here in Cincy, but it’s not in my hands right now,” Higgins said. “I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do and if that’s go to another team, you know, that’s what happens.”
“Who Dey” nation will be hoping for things to work out not only for Higgins but other key members of the squad. On the other hand, Higgins’ mother wants her son to get the best opportunity even if that would mean going away from Cincinnati.
