Tavia Hunt Offers Support to Patrick Mahomes After Super Bowl Loss

The latest loss in Kansas City will be hard to forget for the team’s supporters. However, Patrick Mahomes, who led the team to two Super Bowl wins in the last three years as they aimed for a historic three-peat, fought till the last breath. His greatness as a team leader and a sports star is hard to miss, and that is exactly what the first lady of the Chiefs wrote.

In a heartfelt post on social media, Hunt shared a seven-word message directed at Patrick Mahomes, offering him much-needed support and love after the devastating loss. She noted, “That’s our QB1!! ❤️🙏🏽 God bless you, Patrick Mahomes.” She followed it up with a simple but powerful statement, writing, “Win as a team. Lose as a team.”

The Hunt family has long been the backbone of the Chiefs organization, with Clark Hunt serving as the team’s CEO and part-owner alongside his mother, Norma Hunt, until her passing in 2023. Meanwhile, Tavia has been a vocal and passionate supporter of the team, often seen on the sidelines, celebrating victories and rallying behind the players during tough times.

The Hunts stood by their franchise quarterback, Mahomes, who himself didn’t shy away from taking responsibility for the tough loss and his struggle-filled performance, ending with a 71.1 (C-) grade according to PFSN’s QB+ metric. Hunt’s message was a reply to Mahomes’ acknowledgment of the loss and his vow to improve.

“Appreciate all the love and support from #ChiefsKingdom. I let y’all down today. I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back.”

The Chiefs’ offense struggled throughout the game, with Mahomes facing immense pressure from the Eagles’ defensive line. He was sacked six times, intercepted twice, and lost a fumble in one of his most aching playoff performances. He didn’t make excuses and promised to be better in times to come.

Despite the tough night, Mahomes remains the cornerstone of the franchise, and Hunt’s message only doubles down on the organization’s faith in their superstar quarterback. While the loss may hurt for times to come, the Chiefs know that they’ll always have a chance to compete at the highest level as long as Mahomes is under center.
