Shedeur Sanders is one of the prospects that will be discussed heavily in the upcoming draft cycle. Legendary NFL icon Deion Sanders’ son is expected to be amongst the top picks this year.
Per a recent mock draft, Sanders is expected to come face-to-face with Patrick Mahomes in the AFC West. The quarterback is expected to fulfill a much-needed position in Las Vegas.

Mock Draft Points Shedeur Sanders’ Path to the Raiders
While Sanders has been consistently placed as one of the top picks, his stock has taken a hit recently. Per ESPN’s Field Yates, the QB is expected to be picked in the sixth position.
The only other top QB in the draft class, Cam Ward, is expected to be picked earlier than him — No. 3 by the New York Giants.
“We’ll see whether the Raiders feel the need to try to move up the board to secure a quarterback, but in this scenario, they can land the best pure passer in the draft right at No. 6.”
“This season, Sanders trailed only Ward in touchdown passes (37) and was fourth in the FBS in passing yards (4,134). He throws with touch and precision when given time and space in the pocket,” detailed Yates.

Yates argues the Colorado standout could fill the gap with the Raiders that they have been desperately trying to fill for several years and have been unsuccessful.
The Raiders need a QB in their ranks and could end up going up the draft as well to grab one. Tom Brady is expected to lead the charge in this search for the perfect QB for Sin City. Brady and new head coach Pete Carroll still have the NFL Combine to judge Sanders.
Brady, on several occasions, has lauded Sanders not only for his throwing technique but for his off-field and academic temperament as well.
If things go according to Yates’ outlook, that would put Sanders directly against the powerhouse Chiefs. The Raiders and Chiefs have a long and historic rivalry and will be injected with new blood with Sanders’ potential arrival.
Where is Sanders Drafted in PFSN’s Latest Mock Draft?
In the latest mock draft released on February 11 by Owain Jones, Sanders is drafted by the New York Giants.
Jones says, “The Giants have seemingly developed a strong rapport with Shedeur Sanders after interviewing and spending time with him at the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl. The New York market appears to be a perfect fit for the Sanders brand, and the Giants are in desperate need of stability at the quarterback position.
With jobs on the line, this pick must be a quarterback if one of Sanders or Ward is on the board. Sanders has the skill set to effectively run an NFL offense in his rookie season. His game-manager play style contributes to impressive accuracy, the ability to make full-field reads, solid decision-making, and above-average athleticism.”
