‘Does This Mean He’s Not Going To Propose to Her?’ – Skip Bayless Throws Shade at Travis Kelce As Eagles Register Blowout Win in Super Bowl

Skip Bayless took a shot at Travis Kelce after the Chiefs' brutal Super Bowl loss, questioning if the loss delayed his rumored Taylor Swift proposal.

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t look like they belonged during the Super Bowl, and the losses didn’t stop when confetti fell from the ceiling.

As the Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled their way to a dominant Super Bowl victory, Skip Bayless wasted no time throwing shade at the Chiefs’ star tight end. And, of course, Taylor Swift’s name was dragged into the conversation.

While Philly fans celebrated, Bayless was busy questioning if Kelce’s loss might put plans about his other ring on hold.

Skip Bayless Takes Shot at Travis Kelce After Eagles Win Super Bowl

Bayless didn’t hold back when the game got out of hand. As the Eagles dismantled the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, Bayless took to X with a jab at Kelce, saying, “Does this mean he’s not going to propose to her as the confetti falls?”

But let’s talk about the real fireworks — the ones on-field. The Eagles didn’t just win; they annihilated the Chiefs, crushing any hopes of a three-peat with a ruthless 40-22 beatdown in New Orleans. Jalen Hurts played like a man on a mission, throwing for two touchdowns and pushing in another, while Saquon Barkley made history with 57 rushing yards, breaking the NFL’s all-time single-season rushing record (regular season + playoffs).

The Eagles set the tone early, opening the scoring with their signature “Brotherly Shove.” Then came rookie Cooper DeJean’s soul-snatching pick-six off Patrick Mahomes, followed by Hurts hitting A.J. Brown for a 12-yard dagger before halftime. At the break, Kansas City trailed 24-0.

Mahomes struggled badly with two first-half interceptions, three sacks, and just 6-of-14 passing. It was ugly, and they didn’t get much better in the second half, ending the season with a shocking performance from the 10th-ranked passer by QB+.

When DeVonta Smith torched Kansas City’s secondary for a 46-yard TD in the third quarter, pushing the lead to 34-0, it was over. The Chiefs finally got on the board late in the third, but by then, the celebration was already underway.

This was a statement win for Philadelphia. The Eagles avenged their Super Bowl 57 heartbreak and silenced any doubters. Kelce may not have had his fairytale ending, but the Philadelphia faithful are partying down Broad Street.

Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl Heartbreak: Chiefs Lose, Proposal Rumors Fizzle

With a chance for a three-peat in their hands, is Travis Kelce out with an injury, or is he playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59?

Kelce looked devastated after the Chiefs’ brutal 40-22 Super Bowl loss to the Eagles — a defeat that not only crushed their three-peat dreams but also put a rumored proposal to Swift in serious doubt.

Before kickoff, whispers swirled that Kelce, riding high on a potential historic win, was planning to pop the question. But after a sluggish Kansas City performance, the night took a sharp turn. Kelce, known for his fiery passion, was spotted looking visibly emotional as reality set in.

Swift, watching from the stands, didn’t have the best night either. She was met with unexpected boos from the crowd. To make matters worse, the Chiefs’ offense never found its rhythm, and Kelce wasn’t able to move the needle.

Despite the heartbreak, Kelce isn’t packing it in just yet. Retirement rumors have been floating around, but the tight end still has gas in the tank.

Before the Super Bowl, he made it clear: he’s not done. “Hopefully still playing football,” he said, regarding the next few years of his career. “I love doing this. I love coming into work every day. I feel like I still got a lot of good football left in me.”

The ring might have to wait, and so will Kansas City’s Super Bowl aspirations. The Chiefs’ run as champions is over, and they’ll have an entire offseason to figure out how to get back to the top of the mountain.
