Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is public enemy No. 1 to many NFL fans, and Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown wants to know why.
St. Brown doesn’t understand why NFL fans are dragging Mahomes around the league, and he called them out for it on his podcast.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown Take Shots at Patrick Mahomes Haters
St. Brown said he doesn’t understand the hate and why people don’t want to see history made.

He said this on his podcast: “I don’t know why everyone’s hating on Mahomes to not get a 3-peat. “Don’t you want to see history made?”
His brother, Equanimeous St. Brown, who does the show with him, tries to explain why Mahomes is so disliked.
“If you’re a great player great team, you either love them or hate them. There’s, like, no in-between… like for most fans, they either want to see him fall or want to see him succeed,” he explained.
It could also be like the New England Patriots; people are just tired of them winning. St. Brown acknowledges that this could also be the case.
“I get it if you’re a Brady fan or a team that has four Super Bowls, yeah, you don’t want them to win because they’re going to have as many Super Bowls as you,” he said.
Patrick Mahomes Shuts the Haters Out
Patrick Mahomes is fully aware that he and his teammates aren’t very liked, but it doesn’t seem to bother him.
“We embrace who we are, and we believe we play the game the right way. We believe that we play with a lot of heart and a lot of passion for the game, and then we win football games,” he said earlier this week during media day at the Super Bowl.
At some point, all football dynasties become the bad guys for various reasons. The Chiefs seem almost unstoppable like the Patriots, and there was hope that the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens would knock them off this year, especially the Bills, who beat the Chiefs earlier this season for their only loss.
Now, it’s the Philadelphia Eagles’ turn to see if they can end the dynasty, and they know it will be a tough task but not impossible. The Chiefs are vulnerable at several positions, but it will take a near-perfect game for Philadelphia to knock off the defending Champs. Even then, the Chiefs behind Mahomes, as they did the last time they faced the Eagles in the Super Bowl, may somehow find a way to win.
