Packers’ $48,000,000 Star Drops Blunt Analysis on Jordan Love’s 2024 Season After Playoff Exit vs. Eagles

Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs isn’t holding back on Packers QB Jordan Love, praising his skill set and potential on the "Up & Adams" show.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, and they’re already knocking on the door of Super Bowl contention. After an 11-6 season, Jordan Love’s squad saw their 2024 campaign come to a heartbreaking end in the Wild Card Round against the Philadelphia Eagles.

But the future is bright in Green Bay, according to one Packers star.

Josh Jacobs Raves About Packers QB Jordan Love’s ‘Special’ Potential

Star running back Josh Jacobs isn’t holding back on Green Bay’s quarterback. Speaking on “Up and Adams,” Jacobs gave a take on Love’s skill set and potential.

“The thing that stood out the most is the way the ball come out of his arm. He’d be spinning the ball. And I think that was the biggest thing, like watching film on him, you know, before coming.”

“But then actually getting in practice with him, I’m like, oh yeah, this dude got it. He definitely got it. I think it’s about just putting it together on a consistent basis for him. But when he figure it out, man, he’s gonna be he’s gonna be special,” Jacobs continued.

The 26-year-old quarterback had a rollercoaster season in 2024 that included a knee injury in Week 1, a midseason groin issue, and a three-game skid to close out the year. Love still led the Packers to their best record since 2021.

However, expectations were sky-high after his finish in 2023, when he threw 18 touchdowns to just one interception in his final eight games.

Jacobs, who signed a $48 million contract with Green Bay last offseason, believes the team is just a few pieces away from being a true juggernaut.

“We have the youngest team in the NFL. We’re still going through some growing pains right now, trying to figure out how to do things right on a day-to-day basis. I feel like the little things killed us a lot in the games that we did lose. Once we put it all together, I think we’ll be alright,” he admitted.

The 26-year-old Oklahoma native didn’t stop there — he got brutally honest about one of Green Bay’s biggest weaknesses. “We need a wide receiver — a real wide receiver,” he told Chris Simms. “Love the guys we have, but we need a proven No. 1.”

While the Packers’ young receiving corps flashed serious potential, adding an impactful playmaker could take Love’s game to another level. And with his massive four-year, $220 million contract extension kicking in, the Packers are all-in on their quarterback. Love is set to make $11.9 million in base salary next season, along with various bonuses that could push his 2025 earnings even higher.

Green Bay could make a deep playoff run in 2025 if the front office plays its card right. For now, the message from Jacobs is clear — Love’s got the talent, but the Packers need to give him the right weapons to take them all the way.
