Albert Breer surprisingly predicts Myles Garrett's next landing spot with an NFC powerhouse team needing edge rusher help.

Myles Garrett shocked the NFL world with his trade request. The Cleveland Browns edge rusher is now looking for greener pastures after five years in Ohio.

Presently and unsurprisingly, Garrett is being linked with almost every team. Meanwhile, NFL insider Albert Breer points out which one he believes is the perfect team for the defensive end that will give him all the success he clamors.

Albert Breer Wants Myles Garrett To Land With Detroit Lions

Garrett has been the defensive lynchpin for the Browns since his arrival after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The 29-year-old won Pro Bowl honors six times and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year accolade once.

Breer recently appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” and pointed out the perfect match for Garrett.

“My favorite destination would be Detroit,” he said. “They’re in a spot now where they don’t need their first-round pick. They don’t really need to keep staking up.”

The Lions are set to pick 28th in the first round and No. 60 overall in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft to potentially part with in a hypothetical trade. Breer added that the Lions would greatly benefit from Garrett’s inclusion, especially since their pivotal coaches have moved on.

“So, they are in a position now where it’s like, we can spend, we can start to flip picks. If you’re them, and you lost all of these coaches, and you want to flip the momentum and kind of keep things going in the right direction. I mean, God, the idea of Myles Garrett opposite Aidan Hutchinson. I mean, like that to me, is really intriguing.”

Garrett’s Trade Request Is a Blessing for the Browns, Argues NFL Analyst

The Browns suffered another terrible season, ending with a 3-14 record. But during his appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah suggested that Garrett’s trade request is a blessing in disguise for the franchise.

“I think Myles Garrett did them a huge favor,” said Jeremiah. “Because I do think it’s in their best interest to trade him.

“But if he doesn’t demand a trade, and you trade him, you’re gonna have a big section of the fan base, and having worked there, I know how this is in Cleveland because the team success hasn’t been there; they’re very attached to their guys.”
