Once known for their strong defense, the Browns missed the playoffs in 2024 after a 14-loss season. To make matters worse, defensive end Myles Garrett reportedly requested a trade on Feb. 3.
After the news broke, Cleveland fans gathered to support Garrett’s “desire to win.” They also signaled their desire for Sanders to join the team, mimicking his signature watch flex and playing his song, “Perfect Timing.”

The Browns are in urgent need of a quarterback, especially with uncertainty surrounding their immovable signal-caller Deshaun Watson. Not only his Watson’s contract catastrophic, he suffered an achilles injury that required surgery in January and is expected to miss most the 2025 NFL season.
As Watson isn’t seen as part of the team’s future, the door maye be open for Sanders, given that the Browns also hold the second overall pick.
Sanders’ response to the rallying fans has added fuel to this possibility.
In a repost of his brother’s clip, Sanders added his own comment: “Legendary #wristup.”

The Browns met with Sanders during Shrine Bowl practice week, with general manager Andrew Berry lauding the quarterback after their meeting.
“Shedeur is a really impressive young man. He’s poised. He’s calm. He’s smart, and you can tell that he’s been raised by — quite honestly — a Hall of Fame dad. We’re going to get to know him even more over the course of the spring, but he’s really impressive.”
Last season, Sanders threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns, leading the Colorado Buffaloes to a bowl game appearance and a 9-4 record. In the two seasons he spent with the Boulder-based program, the playmaker accumulated 7,364 yards to along with 64 scores.
