Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan praised Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward while talking to a reporter. Callahan acknowledged both quarterbacks’ impressive skills and leadership on the field.

Brian Callahan Raves About Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward
Callahan’s endorsement came as part of a broader discussion about the future of the Titans. “I really enjoyed meeting Shedeur, the person; he’s a really fun guy to talk to. He’s really sharp, I could see all the things, the maturity part of it is pretty impressive. I have not gotten a chance to meet Cam yet, but as far as the tape and all that stuff, they both do really good things on tape.”

“They’re in the discussion for a reason; they are the best quarterbacks coming out in this class. You could maybe put one or two other guys in the mix, but those guys are, to me, the best two, so we gotta keep finding out more about them,” Callahan continued, pointing out their talent and the buzz they’ve generated.
The Colorado quarterback threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns for the Buffs, helping his team, coached by his dad, Deion Sanders, to a 9-3 record in the 2024 college football season and an Alamo Bowl appearance. On the other hand, Ward has caught the eye of scouts with his 2024 performance, passing for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns for the Hurricanes, helping them to a 10-2 season and a Pop-Tarts Bowl game.
Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward’s Projected 2025 NFL Draft Destinations
With the 2025 NFL Draft set in April, Sanders and Ward are getting a lot of attention. Both of them are top QB choices. Several NFL teams are eyeing Sanders, with mock drafts predicting him to go early. The New York Giants, in need of a franchise quarterback, are linked to Coach Prime’s son at the third pick, while the Las Vegas Raiders, holding the second pick, are also considering him.
NFL fans are eager to see where these quarterbacks will land. Giants GM Joe Schoen spoke highly of the Colorado QB at the Shrine Bowl. “He’s a great kid, he’s a really good personality, he’s football smart, and his dad is a football coach. It’s a little bit cliché, but he checks all the boxes of a [player with a] dad that is a football coach and the passion that he approaches the game with,” Schoen said.
Now, back to Ward – high on Tennessee’s radar; who holds the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Callahan praised Ward during the Shrine Bowl while talking to a team reporter. “He does some really cool stuff…He has a really loose throwing motion, and I mean that in the best way. He can spin the ball well. He has all the different arm angles. He has the ability to move and create. He’s put some really impressive throws on tape.”
However, Callahan and Co. are not putting all their eggs in one basket, as the franchise is also considering other quarterback options, like Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
