On his podcast, Jones straight-up said, “Patrick Mahomes is [Michael] Jordan…the Chiefs have no chance if Mahomes doesn’t show up. If Mahomes comes out there and has a sort of game, they can win, but they’ll sweat that out. If Mahomes has a not good game, they’re not winning.”

If Mahomes plays like himself, they’ll probably win. But if he falters? They’ll sweat it out.
But why does everyone have beef with the Chiefs?
Jones nails it, “Why is it that people don’t like the Chiefs or don’t like Mahomes at this point? Patrick Mahomes has beat all y’all squads. Everybody’s gonna dislike you after you done beat them, especially if you talking about beating them in a game that matters.”
Mahomes has shut down everyone, including Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, who’s now 0-4 against him in the playoffs.
In the AFC Championship Game against Buffalo, Mahomes was a beast. He threw for 245 yards and a touchdown, and he ran for an additional 43 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Now, with Super Bowl 59 coming up, Mahomes and the Chiefs are eyeing a three-peat. Can they make it happen? If Mahomes comes out ready to ball, you’d be crazy to bet against them.
Mahomes Pushes His Limits with Insane ‘Workload Stress’ in AFC Championship
Mahomes nearly broke the “workload stress” record in the AFC Championship Game against the Bills, and it’s insane. He hit a Strain of 20.5, just shy of the highest anyone’s seen, per Whoop CEO Will Ahmed.
For some context, Strain measures the mental and physical grind of a player’s game on a scale from 0-21, and anything over 18 means you’re going “All Out.”

Mahomes was feeling it, big time. Not just with the hits, but mentally, too. As the QB, he’s got to process defensive schemes, read plays, and still manage to deliver on the big stage.
And yet, he still managed 288 yards and three touchdowns, all while pushing his body to the brink. That’s next-level stuff.
