Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has posted an endearing message about some of his current players ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Coach Prime took to the social media platform X and outlined how much he appreciated and loved the players in the photo.
The picture was taken at the East-West Shrine Bowl earlier this week, a game featuring some of the top NFL prospects. The game will take place on Jan. 30, 2025 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — home of the Dallas Cowboys.
What Did Deion Sanders Post on Social Media?
Sanders posted a photo from one of the practices in the lead-up to the Shrine Bowl. The social media release featured son and safety Shilo Sanders, as well as safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig, wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr., wide receiver LaJohntay Wester, and wide receiver Will Sheppard.
“I Love everyone of these young men like they’re my own. @CUBuffsFootball,” Coach Prime captioned the post.

Sanders has made a huge impact since arriving at Colorado in 2022. Not only has he improved the team and brought success back to the program, he also has various players who will be selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, something on display in the recent post as well.
How Many Colorado Buffaloes Will Be Drafted This Year?
The Buffaloes feature numerous players, including a few from the photo Coach Prime recently posted, who will most likely be drafted. Most notably, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and dual-threat wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter are both expected to be taken within the top 10 this April.
In Pro Football Network’s recent 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft with trades, Shedeur was selected No. 1 overall by the Tennessee Titans and Hunter was taken No. 4 overall by the New England Patriots.
Meanwhile, in the same mock draft, three players in the photo released by Sanders were chosen as well. Wester was taken No. 215 overall and Sheppard No. 220 overall, both by the Los Angeles Chargers, while Shilo was selected No. 229 overall by the Carolina Panthers.
As is evident, the Buffaloes roster will look different next season — a large portion of the team’s core is moving on to the NFL. However, it is also clear from Coach Prime’s recent post that he will continue to support his current players well after they depart from the Buffaloes’ football program.
