Freddie Gibbs Taunts Kevin Durant as Commanders Suffer NFC Championship Defeat

The 42-year-old rapper has been posting about how fellow rapper Wale could be a bad luck omen for the Washington Commanders.

That theme repeated itself on Championship Sunday after the Commanders fell 4 scores behind.

Gibbs has previously also been on the neck of Vikings fans, roasting the team after their playoff exit. The rapper did have nice things to say about their quarterback, though: “Sam Darnold is who he his. He still deserve to get paid.”

The Bears fan then celebrated the Detroit Lions’ upset loss to the Washington Commanders on Divsional Round weekend: “F**k the lions. Cute season b***h.”

Now that the Commanders are out of the playoffs, Gibbs has turned his gunfire onto the Jayden Daniels-led team. He set his sights on Kevin Durant, taunting the four-time NBA scoring champion about his visit to the Commanders’ locker room: “@KDTrey5 damn slim U ain’t in the locker room this week?

Not to be outdone in a social media battle, Durant fired back with a four-word NSFW message: “Aye man f*** u.”

Durant, like many DMV fans, can at least celebrate the Commanders’ first pair of playoff wins since 2006. Washington made it back to the Conference Championship for the first time in 33 seasons. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has made it clear that the team has a bright future ahead of it.

However, Saquon Barkley laid waste to the Commanders’ hopes of a Super Bowl trip. The Eagles running back started the game off with a 60-yard home run play, finishing the game with three touchdowns on 16 touches and tallying 122 total yards (118 rushing).
