Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill explained his “I’m out” comments that made headlines following his team’s Week 18 loss to the New York Jets.
Hill has always been a vocal figure in the NFL, and his blunt comments while recently streaming a video game are no different.
Tyreek Hill Calls for Dolphins to Step Up After 2024 Season’s ‘Frustration’
Hill didn’t mince words when talking about the Dolphins’ struggles during the 2024 season. Known for his fiery competitiveness, Hill opened up about the frustration he felt after a year where Miami’s offense never really found its groove.
The five-time All-Pro wasn’t about to sugarcoat his disappointment, and his honesty reflects high expectations for himself and his team.
“What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration,” Hill said. “I’ve been winning my whole life, bruh. Y’all don’t understand, I bust my ass every day — I deserve to feel like that, I deserve to have some kind of opinion. Y’all just want me to say, ‘Oh well, get ’em next year?’ Nah, f*** that. We’ve got to come back, we got to put some pressure on motherf******. Y’all got to fix this s***, come on. Add some motherf****** dogs in this b****. I compete, I love to compete, bruh.”

Fans had mixed reactions to Hill’s comments.
“This explanation genuinely changes my mind about the entire thing,” a Dolphins fan commented. “If his goal was to genuinely put pressure on the front office to fix the team than I’m fine with what he said. It doesn’t excuse not coming back into the game though.”
“I didn’t care what he said after the game, didn’t like his actions during the game,” another wrote. “He wants to make up for come back and be a dawg. Show up to voluntary workouts, be a leader.”
Hill, Dolphins Never Got On Track in 2024 NFL Season
The Dolphins faced setbacks in 2024, starting with losing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion that sidelined him for over four games and a hip injury that kept him out for an additional two. Without Tagovailoa under center, the offense struggled to find consistency, ultimately finishing 22nd in scoring for the season.
Hill led the NFL in 2023 with an impressive 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, but his production subsequently declined due to Tagovailoa’s injury struggles. Hill managed just 959 yards and six touchdowns this year — his lowest output since his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hill is on a restructured $90 million deal with Miami that runs through 2026.
