Travis Kelce Shares 5-Word Response to Legendary Rapper Lil Wayne Taking a Shot at the ‘Cheating A**’ Chiefs

Lil Wayne called the Kansas City Chiefs cheaters on social media in the Divisional Round game against the Texans -- TE Travis Kelce responded.

Rapper Lil Wayne now has a beef with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. It appears that the rapper recently took a cheap shot at the Chiefs, and Kelce responded.

Wayne insinuated, like many NFL fans, that the Chiefs were cheaters.

Travis Kelce Has 5-Word Response to Lil Wayne

In a post on X, Wayne said this about the Chiefs:

“I hate the cheating a** chiefs,” the “Lollipop” musician wrote, followed by, “It’s not even impressive when u cheat and then clearly try to cheat … Just win, baby.”

Kelce’s brother Jason brought up the subject on their “New Heights” podcast, “I’m sure you saw some of this, but [people] were complaining about the refs again, Trav,” Jason said.

“Even Lil Wayne,” said the former Philadelphia Eagles center before reading the rapper’s first tweet — which prompted the younger Kelce to laugh, who seemed unbothered by the tweet.

He responded, “Shout out to Tunechi, man,” with a big grin on his face. Wayne’s comments are a surprise because he headlined Kelce’s second Kelce Jam Music Festival in Kansas City, which celebrated the Chiefs’ second Super Bowl win in a row. In an interview with Billboard leading up to the event, the football player called the musician “one of my favorites since I was in high school.”

He even joined Wayne on stage at one point. The TE added, “I’m a huge mix tape era guy. ‘Duffle Bag Boy’ is one of my favorite songs of all time. I have it on my gameday playlists and everything.”

Wayne wasn’t the only one saying the Chiefs were cheaters or got calls to go their way. Many NFL fans feel that way, too, especially when Houston Texans linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was called for a personal foul on Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.

Later in the game, Mahomes was hit, and he tried to flop to get another call to go his way, which Troy Aikman called out during the Chiefs/Texans broadcast.

Over the years, the Chiefs have had questionable calls that seem to have gone their way, which has many NFL fans wondering if NFL refs favor them.

These things also took place during the New England Patriots’ run, especially when the little-known “Tuck Rule” was called between the Patriots and the Oakland Raiders after what looked like a Tom Brady fumble, which was called back.

Many think that Mahomes’ flop may cause the NFL to make rule changes regarding flopping. The NBA calls technicals if a player flops. If that were to happen, maybe Wayne would hate the Chiefs a little less next season.
